Is anyone else fed up with the sound of Nicola Sturgeon's voice

I can't tell you how sick I am of hearing this woman's voice. I am starting to believe if we'd heard a lot less from her during the campaign remain might have won!

On one hand she can't wait to get out of the UK on the other hand she wants to be ruled by the EU. Which makes no sense to me if you really do want to be independent. How are we supposed to feel any kind of affinity to someone who can't wait to see the back of us?

why do you care about her she is the First Minister of Scotland?

(and the only political leader with a positive rating with voters)

Cherie 28-06-2016 03:09 PM

Something we agree on Jaxie, she is desperate to walk away from the UK but needs someone who can prop the country as they can't survive on their own

Because she won't get off my tv!

Josy 28-06-2016 03:10 PM

Yes I'm sick to death of the Jimmy Crankie lookalike pain in the arse. She doesn't speak for me and she never will!

Aww I'm sure we agree on lots of things, just not on the EU.

If you think the controls that the EU has over member states are even vaguely comparable to the sway that Westminster has over day-to-day life in Scotland, then you are unaware of just how much control that is. I find it quite funny that the same people who seem to be so pleased about Brexit, were saying a year ago that it was laughable that Scotland would want out of the smaller, and infinitely more controlling, UK union. Pff.

She was speaking at Holyrood

Please excuse her for working. Blame the news media for filming it and keep your xenophobia in Kent

Well exactly... I think people are forgetting that she is still the First Minister of Scotland at that with the political **** hitting the fan she actually has quite a lot of reason to be in the media. She can't flouce off into the sunset like Dropout Dave or go into silent hiding like the Brexit Tories. She was elected to represent the Scottish people, and is doing so, based on the result of the referendum north of the border.

Cherie 28-06-2016 03:30 PM

Apparently she has been told by Brussels now is not the time to meet ..oop

_Tom_ 28-06-2016 03:31 PM

I certainly am - sick to death of hearing and seeing the woman!

Kizzy 28-06-2016 03:33 PM

I like her , she has a valid point and she's speaking on behalf of the country she represents

Spain won't let them in.

LaLaLand 28-06-2016 03:48 PM

I totally agree OP, she does my head in - wants EU rule yet Scottish independence!

In Wales we have a woman called Leanne Wood who's the leader of the party Plaid Cymru who is basically trying to be the Welsh Sturgeon, always banging on about Wales being independent, absolute idiot.

lewis111 28-06-2016 04:00 PM

She's just doing her job... What's she meant to do have no opinions on anything

And I think she speaks for the majority of her country when she says she wants to be part of the EU and not uk (as polls are showing Independance is more popular now)

I judge her and her party by the job they are doing in Scotland

Liberty4eva 28-06-2016 04:23 PM

Until a few days ago I had never heard of her. I think she has a cute accent but the words that come out of her mouth make it seem like she thinks Scotland deserves special privilege. There were 39% of Scots who voted to leave. If those Scots had voted differently the Remain side would have won. Does the rest of the UK have to follow what the majority of this small region wants?

I know that question wasn’t aimed at me but as a Brexit supporter and someone who also stands behind the Scottish leader, I can at least explain my reasoning.

Scotland have one hell of a deficit because the British government failed to protect the Scots when oil prices plummeted. For Scotland to come out of the EU and remain with Britain would ensure economical problems for Scotland. The EU presently give Scotland the protection it needs.

The problem Scotland have with re-joining the EU is, they are a small country with a large deficit and a left wing government...everything the EU isn't interested in.

She of all people has a right to be angry.

Lol "small region". Scotland is a country and she's not trying to get "special privilege" she's just trying to get what Scotland voted for which is to stay in the EU

It wasn't a Scottish referendum though was it? It was a UK referendum. Big difference.
