Does a slightly shorter series bother you?

So It's going to be like 8-10 days shorter than it was meant to be probably.

3.5 weeks left.

I think I will start to get bored in around 3 weeks time so I'm not too fussed tbh as the BB series' I've watched have been a bit stale during the final 1/2 weeks.

I guess an early August final would have been though as July probs going to go really quick.

andybigbro 01-07-2016 09:55 PM

Yes! So annoyed

y.winter 01-07-2016 09:56 PM

I wouldn't call it "slightly", so yes - it bothers. They should have done it last year, not this year...

Mystic Mock 01-07-2016 09:58 PM

The series is a bit average, and the ratings are poor.

Imo Endemol need to make a BB3, BB5, or BB6 type of quality if they want an audience to watch the show for 10 to 13 weeks like they used to.

Strictly Jake 01-07-2016 10:00 PM

I love this series so much so I want it to be much much longer

lewis111 01-07-2016 10:01 PM

I mind because this series is really good, how can this be over 2 weeks shorter than BB15

I maybe wouldn't mind as much if they had less HMs and could avoid this mass eviction

MB. 01-07-2016 10:04 PM

Yeah, especially when it's been a good one like it has this year

Ross. 01-07-2016 10:05 PM

Yeah it's annoying that they've actually produced a decent series but ended up cutting the length of it

MB. 01-07-2016 10:05 PM

And especially when it's half the length of BB7-BB10

Exactly, last year was so meh compared to this year's

nonstop 01-07-2016 10:11 PM

Nope. After loosing Georgina it's already over.

Adamw92 01-07-2016 10:13 PM

When the series has been as good as this one, yes it does bother me.

cookiemonster 01-07-2016 10:17 PM

i didn't even watch the last 8/10 days of last years, or the final, coz they messed it up so bad, but i'm liking this years a lot. so i am annoyed. 8 or however many weeks is not long enough!!

Jamie89 01-07-2016 10:20 PM

Doesn't bother me at all. Tbh, even if it was like 6 weeks, that's still a really long time when there's an episode every night. 8 weeks is long enough imo

Babayaro. 01-07-2016 10:26 PM

Yes, absolutely.

Razor 01-07-2016 10:54 PM

Any loss of time in the BB house isn't good.

Dylan95 01-07-2016 11:11 PM

Yes it's ridiculous it's nearly becoming the same length as CBB wish they'd scrap summer CBB for a longer series

reece(: 01-07-2016 11:13 PM

It's a joke when trash series get longer runs but we finally get a decent-ish series after 3 average ones and it's cut short!

Clootie Dumpling 01-07-2016 11:18 PM

The earlier, longer series were engrossing because they were longer.

Eight weeks is not long enough for relationships to grow, factions to form, game players to get into their stride.

Will. 01-07-2016 11:19 PM

Have they confirmed why?

Perhaps Emma wants a break between CBB and BB to spend more time with her baby?

supertv247 01-07-2016 11:24 PM

Definitely, because it's getting shorter every year now. Looking back to my favourite series, BB7, this will be 40 days shorter.. Ridiculous

It's probably the ratings - Frow's apparently said that that 1.5 million is "the magic number":

BigBrotherfan4ever 02-07-2016 07:02 AM

Yes I'm absolutely loving this series, IMHO it's the series since BB moved from channel 4 to channel 5, I'm gutted it's been shortened.

I dunno if I agree, by the 8 week I think all of those things had already formed if I remember correctly, it's normally the point at which it winds down imo

ebandit 02-07-2016 07:48 AM

good idea........end the delusion of some HMs quicker.....

It's been cr@p Ch5- Endemol, Ryan and Emma don't understand the concept of Big Brother.

They aren't the stars, the star of the programs are the players, unknown to us and to each other to see how they cope in a confined space.

To dredge up a series with every knowing each other, ( even now they are bringing past connections of the current housemates in) they are so clearly off the right track and now desperate for viewing figures they are flailing out in any direction- the wrong direction. It's akin to going down a road that you know that is a dead end but you persist with it anyway, at some point you have to admit defeat and turn around.

This series is an insult to our intelligence, a group of wannabee local z- listers all with connections ( nearly all) and the rest hand picked knowing full well what the participants would want in a housemate eg: Georgina with Jackson

And what the flip is going on with the two most contrived story lines of Chelsea and Jayne, ( which has fizzled out) and then Charlie and Jason- the latter has to be the worst acting job ever, They clearly have planned this and are cahoots with each other. He said that he'd never heard of Big Brother or didn't know how it operated as he'd never heard or seen of it before this year. Yet he also said that Charlie has always wanted to go on the program and has watched every series.

Now you are not telling me that these two have never discussed BB, I don't believe that Jason didn't know that she was in the house ( just go back and look at the moment they were revealed in the other garden) and vice-versa.

From start to finish it's been a hash of a pre-produced - pre planned, poor reality show, where the production team have tried to establish the story lines and control what we were going to see way before it went to air.

This latest so called 'twist' is just an extension of this car crash of a series, the sooner it's put to bed the better.
