Scheduling News (Alleged)

From DS, who got it from Digiguide:

BB Final: Tuesday 26th July (1hr 45mins)
CBB Launch: Thursday 28th July (2hrs)

So a 50 day series.

Oaker 12-07-2016 05:07 PM

Not the Monday/Tuesday finals returning

Ashley. 12-07-2016 05:08 PM

18 days longer than CBB :fan:

TomC 12-07-2016 05:08 PM

Tbh midweek launches/finals don't actually bother me too much.

Ridiculous, right?

Babayaro. 12-07-2016 05:10 PM

A 1 hr and 45 minute final is pathetic. Should be an extra half hour added to that. Looks like it's going to be rushed again yayy

Jay_Roberts441 12-07-2016 05:10 PM

I said those dates for the BB17 final and CBB18 launch a few weeks ago. Dont know why I expected it but I just did, always had the feeling BB17 would be a 50 day series.

How long was BB15/BB16's? I'm thinking there might only be 5 finalists.

Jason. 12-07-2016 05:12 PM

Mess every Week 8 boot has lasted longer than the duration of this series

Jake. 12-07-2016 05:13 PM

50 days :joker:

Oaker 12-07-2016 05:13 PM

CBB18 is obviously going to be like 6 weeks or something

It's actually such a weird thought there were still 2 months to go at this point in BB7 yet there are 2 weeks for BB17.

don't go there tbh. 3 weeks is quite enough.

reece(: 12-07-2016 05:13 PM

Not CBB starting two days after

Given the success of the series (compared to recent past years), I'm surprised it wasn't extended.

Not sure. I suppose if there's only 5 finalists then that's not so bad but if there's 6 you just know they'll chuck 2 of them out at the same time

Oaker 12-07-2016 05:15 PM

is this the first year ever where there will be more CBB days than BB days?

It's such a weird thought that if BB7-10 were only one week longer, their durations would've been double this series.

Jack_ 12-07-2016 05:18 PM

Absolute ****ing laughable trash

Axe it all

And me. This series could have been the same length as BB16 and only be half as ****ty

Time 12-07-2016 05:19 PM

Ugh, why is this series so short?

Because C5 hate civilian BB and suck the proverbial cock of CBB so are desperate to get it on air early!

Ross. 12-07-2016 05:20 PM

Rip civilian Big Brother

TomC 12-07-2016 05:21 PM

It's quite clear they're just trying to turn BB into something it is not, or shouldn't be: CBB.

Jason. 12-07-2016 05:22 PM

It's things like this which is why LI is getting more viewers than BB.

It's clear even the producers don't have faith in BB anymore, so why should the viewers?

Natalie. 12-07-2016 05:23 PM

:/
get rid of it all please

Will. 12-07-2016 05:23 PM

How many days did LI last this year?

43 days.

I'm shocked they haven't introduced midweek evictions to BB yet if the series are going to be this short

We have had new housemates enter later than this entire series  it's such a shambles

Now that's a very weird thought actually. Although tbf, BB8's halfway HM's only entered 5 days before the final of many series.

LukeB 12-07-2016 05:27 PM

They should extend this season tbh

Jack_ 12-07-2016 05:27 PM

In all honesty I won't be surprised if they look to Love Island's success next series for inspiration but for all the wrong reasons

So instead of a stellar promotion campaign, less housemates that have ties to the media (as a lot of the Love Island's casts haven't despite criticism), a better format, no votes to evict, better, more rounded editing that develops characters more fully, a nicer balance between fun and drama etc etc, it'll be 'oooh six weeks seems like a length that works, so let's cut it back even more'

Maybe that's part of the reason why this series is so short anyway?

Jake. 12-07-2016 05:28 PM

It is complete horse**** but the only positive I can take from it is that at least things aren't going to go stale

This.

And anyway, if I was going to make this series longer it would only be by 2 or 3 weeks. I thought the 13 week series were stale anyway. It just feels so repetitive and draining - especially when the original cast would get whittled down to a smaller number and then a large group of new housemates would enter and change it all.

Charley the real winner?

Cal. 12-07-2016 05:33 PM

Mess not Charlie the 4th evictee going 18 days before the final.

Cal. 12-07-2016 05:33 PM

Not Georgina the third evictee lasting exactly halfway.
