Accidentally left my window open and light on

Accidentally left my window in my bedroom open and the light on when I went downstairs to watch TV and now I have thousands of bugs on my ceiling? I've been looking on the internet but there's only tips on how to prevent it happening in the future not how to get rid of them right now welp

Does anyone know what I can do

Will. 17-07-2016 11:25 PM

Stay calm.

I'd try and put them in a cup and carefully take them outside.

I've got an extension cord and put my lamp on my window sill outside and turned the lights off in my bedroom to try and attract them back outside but I don't think it's working

There's literally millions of them :chazcrying.gif:

Perhaps get the vacuum tube and try to vacuum them into a cup or something.

Put the vacuum on a low power.

Is that even possible?

Think I'm gonna have to turn the lights off and leave the window open and let them leave naturally when they're in the dark and sleep elsewhere :chazcrying.gif:

That sounds like the best option, they mean no harm.

The chick would if she stanned animal cruelty and if there wasn't a chance her mam would wake up and beat the **** out of her for making noise

Marsh. 17-07-2016 11:33 PM

I used to just get a towel or jacket and whack them dead/away.

Until I smashed the bulb from the ceiling.

Cal. 17-07-2016 11:48 PM

Yeah I think

(I was so scared you'd chosen to be a bitch and it was gonna be a picture of a venomous tarantula with lots of eyes dragging a bird into it's den with ferocious teeth)

:fan:

They're springtails; they belong outdoors but they were probably attracted to the humidity of your room. Your best bet would be to use a dustpan and brush or some sort of cup then just take them outside.

..those bugs are drawn to the brightest star in the land, Cal...that's their destiny and I think it's just to accept it for them...I think that even if you hadn't left a window open and the light on..they still would have found a way to be close to you...the girl needs to not prevent and not fight it but just accept their adoration..(or stop shining so brightly...)...t'is written in the bug stars etc.....

Samm 18-07-2016 08:32 AM

Gas them all out with bug spray and sleep on the sofa for the night
