I couldn't care less about leaving school
I left school 26 days ago I think, and I just don't miss it at all? Like I've barely even spoken to anyone, and I'm starting to feel like the people I spent time with in my day-to-day life were just friends by default, and not actually people I'd naturally gravitate towards. I mean, there are some people I'd like to keep in touch with, but did anyone else feel like thsi? :joker:

I feel like this with some people at uni.
|
How long have you been there?
|
Fast forward ten years and you'll look back on it differently. :bawling:

Literally me, i left my new school for good like a month ago and i literally dont care about the students except for my inner group.
I literally remember the school i went a year before more vividly (Maybe thats because of my crush ) |

Happens to everyone. You realise that when you're not "forced" to see/hang around with certain people that you really aren't that friendly with them. Happens through life, not just school but uni, jobs and what not too.
When I was in school there used to be a gang of about 12 of us... I only barely keep in touch with 3 of them now and it just feels right. I have one best mate who I've known since I was 13 who I see/text/talk to most days so she's survived ha |
Yeah I think I'll keep in touch with literally three people from school after I leave

Seriously though, in all honestly only 2 people from primary's friendship has properly survived over the last 6 years. Also, the fact the people from my school are from all over the world means it's difficult to see them. Ugh, it was just such a vile time, my closest friends were friends with people I just couldn't stand. :yuk: Like all the nerd/gamer types, so very demeaning. Upper Sixth was a positively awful year! Really knocked my confidence a bit |
Nerds

Hmmmm, I miss it. I think that's because I mainly got on with most people in my year, especially all the gals. So I just miss seeing everyone every day because there wasn't many people I didn't like, most have qualities that pissed me off but 95% of people in my year were nice people who I got on with. So I just miss seeing people every day even if it was people i only spoke to in a certain lesson, occasionally.

I miss it, I left five years ago and I still stay in touch with some.
|
I can count on one hand the amount of people I kept in contact with since leaving school. I do still get nostalgic and miss it though.
|
I can't stand the thought of going back. A vile place.
|
I was just too good for it!
|
I had a bloody miserable time at school and I have never looked back on it with nostalgia. I have one friend from school I still keep in contact with but that's all, the rest of them can do one.
|
Give it a year or so... You will miss the school days. Even now at 23 I'm starting to reunite with friends from school days and we all can spend hours just looking back at those days. Uni was definitely the one where I pretty much just don't talk to anyone again bar two people and most of my friends were just people I went out with for the sake of it and worked on essays.

I only keep in touch with the people I like from school. I definitely don't miss it

Until recently, School was the worst years of my life.
I had to deal with bullies, Teachers who could be mean and unfair to the whole class in both Primary and Secondry School. I also had to deal with Religion being shoved down my throat, getting detention for not wanting to climb (like that's a required thing in everyone's day to day life anyway) and of course being punished for what someone else did was a common occurrence just because my face didn't fit as much as theirs. And don't even get me started on how bullies can get away with beating up pregnant Teachers, which has happened quite a few times in Birmingham Schools in particular. And School encourages hive minded thinking, I was an outcast in my School's for not following trends and supporting "the right" Football teams. Imo I think that it's up to the parents to home school their children instead of wasting money on their drug addictions, alcohol addictions, or just sheer indifference to their child. |

I left school in 1998.
I hated school. Left with no qualifications. But in 2002 I went to night school. Did three A levels and then went into writing for a newspaper and wrote a few books. I now run my own hair care business from home! :D :p |
