They might have made him more powerful than ever

In a vote to save, he is pretty much untouchable as he is featured in every show.

Now that he has the eternal nomination, he is going to turn into worse than he has been in the past. Meaning he is going to be featured even more, which means more votes.

Sadly unless he goes too far and is removed from the house, he is almost certain to reach the final.

Shaun 06-08-2016 10:32 PM

So long as there are semi-literate morons following their cyclical logic of 'this dickhead is pissing people off he's so entertaining -> Oh no he's been outcast he's so victimised :( -> haha he's getting revenge now he's such a badman -> omg they nominated him how could they???? -> :joker: he threw a cup and is intimidating them -> wow why is he so hated!!!!???? Such a bandwagon!!!!" Then yeah he's gonna go far. People are so ****ing stupid.

I love the way he winds up the housemates! He knows he's up every week, so in his mind there's no reason why he should play nice :joker: He will only be nice to his mates.

Braden 06-08-2016 10:35 PM

The two posts above lined up pretty nicely together.

But yeah, I said the same thing last night. They've give him ammunition to be even worse of a human being.

I hope he does make it to at least top 3.
I think this eternal nomination is a blessing not a curse,

Plus you know what he was going to be put up for nomination every week anyway by the HM's so eternal nom is no problem for him.

Lstan 06-08-2016 10:36 PM

Goodness do we really need so much screen time devoted to him snogging peoples faces off? If i were in there i would struggle to resist the urge to chuck a bucket of water every time he does that.

big brother would boot you out lol

Robodog 06-08-2016 11:11 PM

Totally true and BB know what they are doing

They knew the HMs would pick Bear for eternal nomination

They know the public will keep voting him in for entertainment value.

Then once the public are used to voting Bear to keep him in, it creates HM 'loyalty'. So they will keep on voting him in otherwise they will feel like it was a waste of money to vote for him last week.

This way - he could win. The creation of a loyal voters fan base.

And at least three housemates will be up every week, giving him a better chance of staying.

Summed up beautifully, Shaun.

Hopefully, though, there could be another scenario here...... The Americans have got his number and know exactly how to play this game. They might therefore play clever and choose to vote two of the others in Bear's little 'squad'- i.e. Lewis (whom I'm sure they can see straight through too) and Marnie. Frankie has already suggested to Bear that his behaviour could be damaging to his 'friends'.

Add to that scenario the fact that other housemates probably spend least time with Lewis and Marnie because they are always together or with Bear, there could be potential for the three of them to be up, and Bear to be evicted over the other two.

It's a vote to save. I think Lewis would go in that scenario.

Wow for semi-literate morons this is such a complex and long cycle to follow, especially if you consider that the alternative way of thinking is "mean to my fave = vile bully".

Yes, you are probably right. I don't watch the shows they come from so didn't know whether Lewis might have a large fan base who might vote for him.

There is the possibility that viewers might throw votes at who ever Bear is up against in order to reduce his chances of being saved, I guess?

Bear would survive against most of them in a vote to save. I doubt the likes of Ricky, Frankie and Marnie will ever be up though. I suspect it will be Heavy D, James, Saira and Lewis.

Tom4784 06-08-2016 11:51 PM

Aw, I think he's misunderstood. I don't dislike anyone in the house, everyone's great. :)

If you truly think that everyone who has taken a dislike to Bear has done so because they think he is "mean to their fave" then I'm sorry but you are deluded.

No I don't actually think that really. I can actually accept that people have different opinions from mine so I don't really need to undermine them by acting like some sort of shrink and telling them why they like or don't like someone.

How is that cyclical? Don't use big words that you don't understand :nono:

Shaun 07-08-2016 01:29 AM

I cut the cycle short ok :fist:

Northern Monkey 07-08-2016 02:23 AM

Bear power.Love him or hate it can't be argued that he's not one of the best housemates to ever enter the show. He's had more impact than any other contestant.

Bit unfair, people should be able to follow their faves without being insulted, It's a manufactured TV at the end of the day

Yeah I thought that. Why do people have to insult the intelligence of others because they have a different view, thought that was discouraged round here!

Well it is at times

Vanessa 07-08-2016 01:03 PM

Nothing stops me from supporting my favourites and at the moment I'm loving Bear so much. I want him in the final, because he's such a massive part of the show.

azi 07-08-2016 02:43 PM

I agree. I think he will be a finalist unfortunately. Unless he gets ejected. But I don't see BB letting him go easily.

God I'd be amazed if he reached the final....and delighted

A wind up like Bear reaching the final would be as unusual as Marco being the first eviction.

I compare Bear to Marc and Rex... and Marco ( only in controversy ) ..and all three were booted well before the final.

Withano 07-08-2016 02:53 PM

I think he would leave in a three way. Possibly even a 4 or 5 way if they froze and reopened the lines

hot2go 07-08-2016 02:55 PM

People can say they hate characters like Bear but how many nice guys do we all recognise as soon as someone mentions them ?
If we see Marc, Rex, Bear or Marco mentioned we all know exactly who is being referred to....don't need the surname, don't need to think about it to recall them, don't need to google to remind ourselves....,we all just know.....same as Makosi, Tiffany, Helen.
Bear is a great housemate....like him or loath him

Calderyon 07-08-2016 02:56 PM

He would have to be against two popular guys. Against any of the girls, he´s golden, i think.

chuff me dizzy 07-08-2016 03:25 PM

This week will be Bear and Saira, maybe another hm8 thrown in ....I would be shocked if Bear left over Saira

and i'll see your panto villains with my panto heroes:

craig phillips, rylan (i know we may not agree on him but viewers saw him as the nice guy), jason, brian dowling, brian belo, anthony hutton, josie, luke, an even pete... all recognisable and all voted BB winners pretty much for being nice, the good guys who stood up against wrongdoing... the viewers' moral compass

and who can forget andy? not a winner but a brilliantly nice guy

we remember the best and the worst, the rest fall by the wayside :joker:

:joker::joker::joker::joker:

I stand corrected on the good guys Jan :laugh: that is a very strong list of examples...but you know what I mean about housemates need to be memorable ? My list of villains weren't all housemates I have liked but it was to show that we remember them....people who hate Bear will def still remember him....I hated Helen and Frenchie and Tiffany but I def remember them. I don't think Ricky will be remembered two seconds after each show finishes.

hot2go 07-08-2016 04:35 PM

Oh, and no one comes close to Andy....the wind up guy who did it with finesse and wit....and morals....he is my ultimate BB housemate of all time.

Bear is a very unvarnished, uneducated, unsophisticated version of a wind up merchant but he def is one.

He won't. He's doing very well in ALL polls and at the bookies. Him and Frankie are actually going up in the winning odds at the moment.
