Ricky is the absolute worst
 

Nice guy my arse... the man is a creep and is so dry and uninteresting it's unreal.

A few points:

- Has done NOTHING of note so far

- Has no opinion about anything, as Bear says he just sits on the fence and fake laughs everyone off

- Scared of confrontation with Bear and wouldn't dare say to his face what he says about him in the Diary Room

- Licks everyone' arse, tries way too hard to be Mr. Nice Guy

- His 'prayer' for Biggins the other night was cringe as **** and another try hard Mr Nice Guy move

- Fancies every girl in the house but reckons he has a shot with Katie, who visibly cringes whenever he says stuff like "You know how us Taurus shut down? SHUT DOWN" and whatever other nonsense he was talking the other night

- Clearly playing a game and not 100% being himself

- I reckon he thought he was going to be the 'man' of the house and has been left stunned by the trio of Bear, Lewis and Heavy D who are more extrovert and interesting

- He is basically this year's CBB version of:

This is a guy who was suspended from EastEnders for being high as a kite :joker:. He's definitely not letting at all out, is he.

In a house with the likes of Bear etc, he is hardly the worst. He's one of the only tolerable ones imo

Why would anyone vote for him to win? He's the least entertaining guy in the house - literally.

When I say the worst, I mean the least entertaining. If he left the house, you would barely notice. Bear on the other hand...

Remember its a TV show, you should keep in the entertaining characters, not the ones that do sweet F all

He's the current favourite so I'd say quite a few would.

He's not even entertaining though, I actually pity how immature he is, it's embarrassing to watch someone behave like a pre-pubescent boy:shrug:

Ricky is up there in my top two so far, he might not be perfect but I much prefer him to the others.

Taste in housemates in subjective. I prefer him to the chav scum that others prefer to fawn over.

Of course he's entertaining, every interesting thing that's happening in the house is because of him

ricky's doing as well as he is directly because of the vile behaviour of his fellow inmates - no wonder people are preferring him!

and he's pretty much a decent guy, cleaning up after the yobs, doing things for others - most his hms like him.

he's not perfect. he's smoked weed in the past. big deal :rolleyes: his biggest let down was not pulling aubrey up sharply on her spitting in bear's food. if he'd had done that, he would be leading the ratings now.

It's not interesting though, he's completely one dimensional, completely thick and a total embarrassment

In real life sure you wouldn't want to be around an idiot like Bear

But this is a TV show... how in the **** do you prefer watching Ricky do nothing over Bear starting fires

Of course it's interesting, he's been the #1 CBB topic since it started... I think the guy's an awful human being but I want to keep him in as long as possible because (whether you admit it or not) you're watching thanks to him

Anyway the sole point of this thread was meant to be that Ricky is a sneaky little creep so hopefully that comes to the fore at some point

without bear, the whole dynamcs of the house would change. get lewis and chloe out, too, and you'd see a far more amusing household, people laughing and having a great summer doing silly tasks and not treading on eggshells waiting for the next blowup.

Big Brother is a cycle, you get people hogging screen time whether they're good or bad, they eventually leave and someone else then steps up and takes that persons place. Or like we saw with Marco, he left and nearly every single one of them started being themselves and shared the screen time between them and we ended up with a great series. I never get why people still assume a series will die if 1 housemate leaves because that rarely ever happens.

I've watched housemates in the past, who were 'entertaining' and kept the show going. Bear is not one of them, he's just tedious, the boys me and my friends hated in school and were tired of their immature behaviour

The reason he didn't pull Aubrey up is because he's a pussy. Terrified of offending anyone or stepping on toes.

Cleaning up after the yobs? Doing things for others? Grade A game playing. The guy is sly and creepy as it gets

clearly - at my age and things i've been through in life, watching faked tv drama by the likes of these dicks isn't entertaining to me.

i enjoy watching the interactions between different personalities; i like seeing how people adapt to fill social roles; i like to have my own first impressions of hms as they go into the house challenged - it's good for me to see someone i thought 'damn, they're horrible' about turn out to be someone i can actually like where they shed the dire tv personas and be themselves; and i like to laugh WITH people, not at them.

i do NOT like watching ugliness, confrontations for the sake of disruption, bitching, conniving, upset housemates, showmances, people being used by others for 'revenge' or in any bad way, shouting, aggression, yobbish or dangerous behaviour.... so if they're reasons why you watch BB then yeah, we do watch it for different reasons.

Ricky will very likely win and deservedly so from what i have seen so far.

Real life is one thing, a TV show where the objective is to ENTERTAIN is quite another. Of course Ricky is a more decent person than Bear, but my word is he dull to watch

Another thing to consider - as ugly as Bear's personality is, at least he's being himself.

Ricky on the other hand is one of the faker contestants in the house. No one is that Neutral and arse-kissy in real life

From what i have seen of Ricky on BOTS, he is very much being himself.

Also, if you think Bear is being himself then you are sadly mistaken, he is a reality star, he has a script to adhere to.

Hmm. Assuming that your reasons for watching something are "better" than anyone else's for any reason isn't particularly wise, in my opinion, but then intimating that you've "been through more" in life than anyone else is straight up foolish so at least you're consistent.

i haven't made that assumption - that's what you've decided to take from my post. i'm hardly a naif and understand how tv works and how different people enjoy different things. my pointing out the things i prefer to see in BB is simply that, no agenda.

it's also a reach on your part to infer i'm implying others haven't been through as much as i have - a simple statement saying because of my own experiences i prefer to watch BB because of a/b/c is not the equivalent of what you are trying to make of it.

The implication being that it's only entertaining to "shallow" young people who "haven't been through what you've been through in life".
