Beating the biggest bore by only 1% makes Bear's win more tragic. Which is nice :D

Renee deserves so much more, but on a serious note I would never vote for a bore like Ricky, so in that sense I'm glad that Bear won

A good and close battle between the 2,well done to both and to both sets of supporters too.

Myself, I voted for Frankie but once he was 6th, I gave my votes to Bear and a few to Renee after that.

I am very surprised that Renee and the others were so badly behind Bear and Ricky however n the voting.

Considering how controversial he was (probably even more so than Helen) I would say he did damn well to beat Ricky at all, despite however big or small the percentage, especially with that vote freeze.

I would have been so pissed that I didn't bother voting had Ricky won by the same percentage. As it happens my vote would have made no difference, but honestly, I would be MAD if it had been the other way around.

It doesn't make someone the 'best' winner to have the largest margin though. :shrug: It's a matter of personal opinion. For me he is the best winner ever.

Bear's ego suggests he probably thinks he slayed in the vote. I'm glad he didn't.

Yes, winner with the highest percentage was in no way the best winner of all time. Josie had the highest ever winning percentage and noone will ever convince me that she was anywhere near as good as the likes of Brian, Kate and Nadia. Never.

Anyway, a win is a win. No matter how people want to spin it :laugh:

Except doubtful Ricky would have got that many were it not for the 3 US finalists leaving before him, he would have got a late surge of vote transference from all of their fans not wanting Bear to win, and yet he still lost.

Yeah it also depends on who you're up against as well. Like Josie's finale was pretty much based around bores or less 'bigger' characters and there was no particular 'divide' or anti-vote either between any of them.

He got a third of the vote in a 6 way final. And the other guy that did it was in eastenders. I think he has done very well.

And the fact is that he won. That is all that matters to him. Arguing the toss over percentages is like being upset you passed an exam by 95% instead of 100%.

Meaningless. He is the true winner with millions of adoring fans.
