[Keith Vaz hid real identity from male escorts: 'My name's Jim and I sell washing machines']

Yes DM Front page
a later edition print
shown on Marr BBC1HD
has my Title of this thread.

arista 04-09-2016 08:18 AM

A day earlier Mr Vaz texted one of the escorts to say a payment would be made ahead of a further meeting.

[He wrote: “I will send you £100 as a gift from me because you need some money.”
When asked to make it £150, the MP replied: “OK but next time you and [the other man] see me you better be extra nice. What is name and banking details.”]

[The money was paid the following day. And on August 23, the day before the second payment was made, Mr Vaz texted one of the escorts saying: “£150 for you, me, bf and Romanian.”]

Yes, no doubt he had to resign from that committee, I am not bothered as to his rent boy activities but the fact he is a married man so that makes him look really bad.
What his family must feel now is more sad as to this.

As arista said, there is a probable conflict of interests as to the committee he was on,it seems some MPs will never learn that anything like this will be found out eventually.

Silly man.

I can just visualise The Sun headline to that photo:

'WATCH that DRINK JOHNNY'

'My name's Jim and I sell washing machines'

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

He should have come CLEAN from the start. He should have known by SPINNING a line like that, that it would all come out in the WASH. Now they'll put him through the WRINGER. :hee:

Vazz has been known to be completely corrupt for years and yet he has served in labour administrations also for years. Not sure why anyone is surprised by this at all

filthy disgusting sordid pig

Liam- 04-09-2016 12:59 PM

I find it a bit scummy that these papers are printing this story in such detail, I mean, yes he's in the wrong completely, but isn't it bad enough that his wife knows that he pays for the D on the sly without her having to know every sordid detail? I feel so sorry for her.

Yes, the families are the ones that end up likely suffering the most from these incidents.
I agree with all you say above.

But he is High Up
on a Committee that deals with hookers
or rent boys,

The Detail , sure sordid, Liam
must be printed ,
its essential , as it makes him
have Conflicts of Interest.
He must Fully Resign
on Tuesday Evening
when he is meant to
be in Parliament

The D.Mirror
in general backs New Labour
Vaz is part of that.

bots 04-09-2016 01:54 PM

don't see why they should sanitise the story if the events as reported did occur. The only one responsible is Vaz, so if his family are upset, and I find it hard to believe they didn't know what he got up to, then blame Vaz

They could have made his conflict of interest apparent by just stating he's been with rent boys and showing him with them, that would have been more than enough, but the way in which they've released all the details about it, like how much, where to, how it was done, the vulgarity of it all didn't need to be sent to press, yes he should have to resign from his post, of course he should, but to put stuff into the press that is only going to hurt his wife and his family is imo, uncalled for.

smudgie 04-09-2016 02:07 PM

Well, at least he will know what he is talking about, having tested the issue.
Just legalise it all, then we could just have a simple "Minister strays from home" scandal without all the gory details.

Definitely,I go with all that.

Cherie 04-09-2016 02:45 PM

Why should he be protected from the full media glare, he is happy to collect his salary, sit on committees where there is clearly a conflict of interest, cheat and humiliate his wife and family, and is stupid enough to think he can get away with passing himself off as a salesman, the mans clearly a buffoon, the papers have a job to do to stay in business the more salacious the details the better, the only one at fault here is Vaz
