Have you changed in your time on TiBB/how have you changed...

...I just had some thoughts this morning and I was thinking that a few things that I had opinions on before I joined TiBB, have changed now in terms of people here making me see things from different perspectives that I hadn't thought of before...I don't mean with topics so much but more just in general...do you think your stance on anything has changed at all in your time on the forum and because of the forum, that you've re-thought anything that you had firm and fixed views on before..?...

Ammi 21-09-2016 11:05 AM

..that's an awful OP, I didn't quite know how to word it../apologies....messy....

Niamh. 21-09-2016 11:08 AM

Definitely the Mccann story, before posting here i didn't know much about it and took it at face value as little girl kidnapped by stranger, it was members here made me look into it more and do a total 360 on it

SuperV 21-09-2016 11:16 AM

Not as special as you two but because of TIBB I now wake up earlier thanks to the chat and games page! :fist::fist::fist:

..how's that with the chat and games page, SV..that it makes you wake up earlier..?...

Amy Jade 21-09-2016 11:34 AM

I change my opinion quite a lot based on here, there are a few people here who honestly make me think quite a lot about things I would normally pay little attention to.

Ammi, Livia, Niamh, Kirk, Josy, Jack, Cherie, Joey, Lostie and Ben in perticular.

Niamh. 21-09-2016 11:38 AM

N'aww thanks Amy

Well all the games on TIBB are around 4 - 5 am for me and I love playing then so in now wake up around that time generally.

I agree, seeing so many different opinions on things means I change my mind on some things from time to time where I don't have fixed or really strong opinions beforehand. I might read a story and have one opinion on it, then come on here and see some comments and points being raised that I hadn't considered that make me rethink my opinion.

caprimint 21-09-2016 11:57 AM

Some people's posts really make me think about things more or at least make me see the other side that I generally disagree with are Livia, Jack and Joeysteele.

...you've made me think about quite a lot of things as well, Amy and see stuff from a different perspective....you've made some really thought provoking threads..(my favourite kind of thread..)....

Yes, I have been liberated.
I still can't actually bring myself to say the word, but I can type the word twat now, never thought I would see the day.
Beartwat helped mind, nearly as much as the friendly folk on here.

I remember when I first came to TIBB met people I thought were 'ok' only to find out they were 'insane' and talk outta their arse... so now I keep myself to myself I do know it can be very it's not 'what you know' but 'who you know' at times on here...

I love this, this should be in the official welcome pack when you sign up to the forum.

Sorry to hear about your experience, for the record I think sometimes harmless teasing and playfulness can come across to some people as being aggressive and bullying because really there's no context a lot of the time. We don't see people's faces so we don't have a lot to go on when deciding how to take things. Hopefully that's what really happened to you and nothing malicious even though that doesn't surprise me.

Josy 22-09-2016 01:04 PM

We see people's faces if they post in mtm kyle :hee:

Josy 22-09-2016 01:06 PM

I don't know I don't think I've changed really apart from being more thick skinned now, I do see some situations in a different light a lot of the time after reading the differing opinions from other members though.

Crimson Dynamo 22-09-2016 01:06 PM

yeah Kyle

Ty for your reply :D It's all good honest I just need to find my place to fit it.. other than just BB :)

It can be a tough crowd on here but sometimes I like that too ;) makes it something to discuss/challenge without breaking rules :D I am sure if I spent more time on here people would get to know me more and vice versa it's just finding that place to 'fit in' other than me talking the legs off a donkey hoping someone will reply ;)

Well the main chat thread right now is in the private section at the top of this section. You should pop in.

Oh I wouldn't worry about that. LT has 37,000 and you can count on one hand the amount of quality insightful things he's said. Wheras I have just 5,000 and each one is lovingly crafted, hand sculpted and written with grate care for spelling and grammer to make sure it is the absolute top qualitee that befits a post from the Kyle name. It's all about the quality not the quantity

I think the knack is to say your piece and not expect a reply, I've noticed a lot of people join a thread and I can be guilty of this myself and not bother reading the previous posts :omgno: so I could be repeating what you said, and you might be thinking she could have just quoted me :idc: or agreed with me, also take some comments with a pinch of salt, or a vat of wine (Fridays only :nono:)

:amazed: you read my mind

Kyle 22-09-2016 01:18 PM

Basically you have to not expect a reply. I'm guilty myself sometimes of just going to a thread and posting without reading the other comments so basically I could be parroting what somebody else has said and they might think I'm quoting them and well, it's a mess.
