in a London street and arrested him
a day after a suspicious device
was found on a Tube train.
The teen, held under the Terrorism Act,

I hope this is used as a way to find out how young men of 19 are sought out and radicalised in this way, you know the way PREVENT was meant to?

It's one guy, so a 99 per cent success might be another way of looking at it? He was out of the school system and not at work and just recently moved so I guess he fell through the net? I'm no fan of prevent though it's only as good as the people who are working with young adults

How is this proof that PREVENT is 99% successful, as this is the only failing we now of in this country at the moment?
What of the many minors and young people male and female that have left the country? Those who are slipping through the net are specifically identified as those who are the highest risk of radicalisation, my point being that this where PREVENT is failing by not identifying those who have fallen through the net.
He is 19 so by rights he has only been out of the school system for less than a year, they have either worked fast, or there were signs that should have been picked up on.

...just a little thing about PREVENT..and my own personal experiences and thoughts about it...it's not just about only being as good as the people who are working with children and young adults...it can only also be as effective as funding allows it to be to it's maximum effectiveness...it would seem logical to me that any 'radicalisation' concerns, would mean many children who don't attend school regularly.../have consistent or persistent unexplained absences..or even who possibly 'get lost' in school transfers... and the tracking of missing children in education just isn't happening to any effectiveness at all because there is no funding available...that should have been and should be a very big priority in PREVENT and its focus...so what was the point in it at all...why all that government spending on something that couldn't even have a chance of any effectiveness because there wasn't going to be the commitment of funds neeeded...it's no wonder that poor parents are then fined for their children having family holidays to recoup some of that useless, pointless money spent...I mean it's just crazy and there is no chance at all of tracking young adults out of education when they can't even begin to track in education....

Thats the point isn't we have enough of our own, so we don't need to take the chance by letting in refugees without proper checks ala Germany
