Anyone else got a flu or cold? (This thread is old)
 

I've been suffering with a flu this week and was just wondering if it's happening to a lot more people during this change of seasons. Tell me I'm not alone. :joker:

Yeah I've had a really horrible cold/headache thing that's lasted for like a week and a half. It started out with a sore throat and headache, turned into a cold/cough and then for the past 3 days or so my ears have been blocked :worry: Today is the first day I've felt better since it began tbh.

Yes I've actually had a pretty bad cold for about the past week. :joker: Kinda starting to get better now.

I got rid of mine about a week ago.

My poor nose looks like it's been through a cheese grater after all of the wiping. :bawling:

Tbf, I've only ever had a proper flu twice in my life and both times I was bedridden to the point where I couldn't lift my head from the pillow without collapsing.

ugh I know, it's awful I was literally in bed for four days apart from meals. :joker: I slept for 14 hours on the first night. :blush2:

I've got the flu and me mam is a nurse so she knows I have the bloody flu.

I had a cold last month and I got better but I think I'm getting another one as I've developed a minor sore throat and blocked nose in the past 24 hours :/

there are varying levels of flus in the same sense there are varying levels of colds :shrug:

I had quite a lot of colds earlier in the year

Not yet which is a minor miracle considering everyone in the house besides me has had it over the last few weeks

I don't know if it helps, but I have actimel every day and a smoothie with lots of vitamin C and so far I haven't had a bad cold for a couple of years.

cold.....opening curtains ya spot £10...you're straight out to get it

flu......no strength to open curtains...if ya need to...spot £10 but clamber back
into bed

I've felt kinda run-down/on the brink of being ill for a couple of weeks now. I've been at uni for almost two months now, thank god I'm going home today. Maybe it's after-affects of the glange??

no but i was really ill from the final week of december to mid february it was awful :omgno:

I've been ill since Christmas and it's not going away. :bawling: I don't think it's the flu but it's a pretty darn strong cold. :fist:

I seem to have had a cold for about 3 months. Everytime I feel a bit better, I have maybe a day of being normal then it comes back...

Who diagnosed you with the FLu?

I had the flu in November. Awful. Wipes you out. :(
