What time do you sit down to your Christmas meal?

then we have a cold food buffet from 6

1:30 for 2pm. My parents like to watch the Queen.

Usually 2 but this year I'm going to have the starter at around 1 and then have a two hour gap before we eat the main dinner so 3ish

But this is exactly when TOTP is on and you will be bang starving by 7

and its light outside

We eat both our Christmas dinners about 6 ish. The Danish one on Christmas Eve and the British one on Christmas Day, but both in the early evening.

You have Turkey sandwiches later on in the evening

Ours gets catered in normally anytime between 3 and 5 then a buffet at night

Everyone knows you have your xmas meal for lunch and have a buffet in the evening

Ipm otherwise it's hanging over you, we have starter and dinner, then pudding around 4pm and something later on if we want it. If I had dinner at 4pm it would annoy me, we have dinner around 5 on Boxing Day though :hee:

It's stupid having it later cos everyone knows you have a buffet in the evening.

4PM. It's the perfect time because it's not too early or too late

The only problem is that when you're done it's pitch black because of winter and it feels like it's 10PM lmao

In my hoose if I had said to my Maw

"im hungry" after a big Christmas dinner she would have said "well you know where the kitchen is so away an help yersel"

Only because my mam does a big Xmas day breakfast at like 11.

We just have a big meal in the evening and some like finger snacks and drinks throughout the day.

That's it, by having dinner in the middle of the day you cut out breakfast as nobody wants to spoil their appetite :laugh: feet up by 2.30

Oh that's what you meant by buffet... no we have that through the day then have our big meal in the evening. Like we have people popping in and out in our house on Christmas and then al the 'main' family members stay for the main meal.

Mine is usually when TOTP is on, then we go to my nans later in the evening to eat again and perch eastenders with about 50+ black people

You should be a good son and offer to do it for her since she cooked you your big lunch :nono:
