What time do you sit down to your Christmas meal?

Obviously 4 is the correct time but do you get it right?

Denver 30-11-2016 02:08 PM

then we have a cold food buffet from 6

Livia 30-11-2016 02:08 PM

1:30 for 2pm. My parents like to watch the Queen.

Niamh. 30-11-2016 02:10 PM

Usually 2 but this year I'm going to have the starter at around 1 and then have a two hour gap before we eat the main dinner so 3ish

Crimson Dynamo 30-11-2016 02:12 PM

But this is exactly when TOTP is on and you will be bang starving by 7

and its light outside

what is this madness?

Firewire 30-11-2016 02:14 PM

Between 2-3

jennyjuniper 30-11-2016 02:17 PM

We eat both our Christmas dinners about 6 ish. The Danish one on Christmas Eve and the British one on Christmas Day, but both in the early evening.

You have Turkey sandwiches later on in the evening

Josy 30-11-2016 02:18 PM

Ours gets catered in normally anytime between 3 and 5 then a buffet at night

Jordan. 30-11-2016 02:19 PM

Everyone knows you have your xmas meal for lunch and have a buffet in the evening

caprimint 30-11-2016 02:22 PM

12-12:30pm. I always complain that I want it earlier though :idc:

Cherie 30-11-2016 02:31 PM

Ipm otherwise it's hanging over you, we have starter and dinner, then pudding around 4pm and something later on if we want it. If I had dinner at 4pm it would annoy me, we have dinner around 5 on Boxing Day though :hee:

Crimson Dynamo 30-11-2016 02:35 PM

Yes well it is up to the lady of the house as its her that is doing it I guess

Cal. 30-11-2016 02:37 PM

At about 1/2.

It's stupid having it later cos everyone knows you have a buffet in the evening.

T* 30-11-2016 02:38 PM

4PM. It's the perfect time because it's not too early or too late

T* 30-11-2016 02:39 PM

The only problem is that when you're done it's pitch black because of winter and it feels like it's 10PM lmao

In my hoose if I had said to my Maw

"im hungry" after a big Christmas dinner she would have said "well you know where the kitchen is so away an help yersel"

so I guess that is kind of a buffet

Daniel-X 30-11-2016 02:45 PM

About 6/7 usually.

Only because my mam does a big Xmas day breakfast at like 11.

armand.kay 30-11-2016 02:45 PM

We just have a big meal in the evening and some like finger snacks and drinks throughout the day.

Cal. 30-11-2016 02:46 PM

Why are people getting so flustered over the idea of my mam putting some sarnies and cheese and biscuits on the table?

That's it, by having dinner in the middle of the day you cut out breakfast as nobody wants to spoil their appetite  feet up by 2.30

Oh that's what you meant by buffet... no we have that through the day then have our big meal in the evening. Like we have people popping in and out in our house on Christmas and then al the 'main' family members stay for the main meal.

Will. 30-11-2016 02:51 PM

1-2 usually and then like buffet type food in the evening.

Cal. 30-11-2016 02:51 PM

Ugh Stace was plastered last year by about 11am too

Cal. 30-11-2016 02:51 PM

Drunken bitch

Gstar 30-11-2016 02:53 PM

Mine is usually when TOTP is on, then we go to my nans later in the evening to eat again and perch eastenders with about 50+ black people

Jessica. 30-11-2016 02:57 PM
