Danniella Westbrook leaves -bless...

Sadly Danniella Westbrook packs to leaves at around 5.10 Aussie time 7.10 a.m.GMT today. The general feeling amongst the rest of the Celebs was one of regret, as, this year everyone has knitted well and she will be missed by one and all.

After Anthony tried to make representations to the makers late on Friday/Saturday to improve the lot of one or two Celebs, there is an underlying sense that this year the producers have overdone the misery, and, similar to BB3 last year, there are talks of mass lead-outs and anarchy.

Main complaints centre round the lack of food, and not just the nutritional value but the simple lack of volume which Anthony correctly judged to be under half the requirement for adults.

Without the BB £70,000 carrot, it will be interesting to see if LWT can sort things out for the second week and prevent the premature finish of the project.

That is such a shame, I really like Danniella, she's a tough girl who's gone through hell and just wants to be with her family!

But I agree about the problems with the food. Programme makers always seem to find a success and then try and change it to make it even better. But seeing celebrities starve is not entertainment!

We want to see them living in the jungle, doing bush-tucker trials and having blazing rows. Simple as that. We want to be entertained.

Seeing grown adults being reduced to eating one cup of rice for a whole day is ridiculous, give them some decently sized rations at least!

John Fashanu is 6'5", he can't live on that amount of food! I don't think any of the celebrities signed up for this thinking they were going to go hungry all the time. That's no fun and without the chance of prize money or getting famous (cos they already are!) they may all walk out!

What a shame that would be!

Come on producers, get your act together!

Romantic Old Bird 04-05-2003 09:48 AM

This is a shame. Poor girl. I thought she was incredibly gutsy in her bush tucker trial.

I do hope she gets something out of the experience in the longer term for her career.

oooh and Janette...not keen on that spder thing.......yuck:shocked:

See i go out one night drinking and look what i miss :bawling: She had to leave last night did'nt she when i was in a coma state from drinking :bawling:
Good scoop Splodge

I think it's a shame that she's gone as well. I really liked her.

I agree that they've made the tasks too hard this year. Poor Wayne struggled for 4 minutes and could only find 2 of the stars. Yesterday Fash hunted for 3 minutes and only found 4.

Surely it's bad enough being in with rats and snakes and just picking up the stars randomly scattered throughout rather than having to ****** DIG for them as well.

I just hope they make them a bit easier from now on or I wouldn't blame the rest of the celebrities if they decided to walk out as well.

Amy 04-05-2003 11:31 AM

I agree it's such a shame Danniella's gone i thought she did really well in her challenge and seemed to be getting on with every one really well. I can understand why she's left it's a lot tougher this year and the amount of food is awful :nono:

BigSister 04-05-2003 11:37 AM

I agree i think it is really tough this year and it is a shame that she has gone and I wouldnt be surprised if they all walk out

Boris 04-05-2003 11:41 AM

Sounds like a case of moving the 'Goa' Posts' after everyone arrived for the 'game'.

Not ON producers !:shocked::shocked::shocked:

Amy 04-05-2003 11:41 AM

If you have ITV2 you see her leave in a bit :bawling:

steve_o 04-05-2003 02:49 PM

WoW I didnt know she was going, I don't really blame her. Everyones right about the lack of food though this year. The trials are too hard and when they do win some food it's bread fruit. :shocked:or kangaroo meat. Why don't they get a pizza and chips or something from the crews canteen. One decent meal that would fill em up now and then would be enough to keep em half happy at least. I don't blame them if they walk out. But there best walking out because of something like food, not fags, which Chef was nearly doing. :conf: Bottles of wine on empty stomachs as well, no wonder there drunk as newts.:laugh:

:spin:

steve_o 04-05-2003 03:16 PM

Does anyone know if she's gone yet? it's not on ITV2 at the moment. :bawling:

:spin:

Amy 04-05-2003 03:17 PM

She's gone now Steve :bawling:

steve_o 04-05-2003 03:20 PM

Typical, missed the most interesting part of the live feed. :bawling:

Amy 04-05-2003 04:15 PM

Fear not Steve as she left during the commercial break so you did'nt miss anything :wavey:

steve_o 04-05-2003 04:18 PM

Blimey  that's typical as well, shaking my head. :conf:

:spin:

Amy 04-05-2003 10:44 PM

She did'nt leave!
I can't believe she's still there
I want to speak to my agent! i'm having none of it! if she says she's leaving she should leave :laugh::laugh:

rachb 04-05-2003 10:47 PM

I'm glad she stayed I think shes thinking everyone will vote her out first,I think it would be a big boost for her to stay a while longer.
how nasty is Catalina:devil:she has no children so she has no idea how much she is missing them,I hope she goes first and Phil stays to the very end:thumbs::thumbs:

Amy 04-05-2003 10:50 PM

I'm glad she stayed  Has any one just seen Tara's rant on ITV2 about the group walkout :conf: everything Tara has just said is true :spin2:

steve_o 04-05-2003 11:09 PM

No, what did she say, TPT the survival jungle expert. I seem to remember her and Darren Day arguing so much I doubt she had time to be hungry. :bawling: Gulping so much air in from sobs and moans.

:spin:

Amy 04-05-2003 11:13 PM

She said they are doing it for charity and that her group managed their food well enough to be able to still have some left over for breakfast. She also said there are lots of people in the world who only get one cup of rice a week and she does'nt hear them complaining :spin2: It does go on but i can't remember it all :wavey:

steve_o 04-05-2003 11:24 PM

She's got a point in some ways I suppose, but TPT doesn't look like she eats much at the best of times, so not eating much, she's used to it. I'm sure it's harder than last years though, and there not doing it for a million quid like in Survivor.

:spin:

splodge0 04-05-2003 11:36 PM

Press got it wrong again!!

kaphc 06-05-2003 10:43 AM

Well she has gone now according to GMTV today and she wasn't on the live feed this morning when I watched.

Bye Danniella!:wavey:

Kaz 06-05-2003 01:28 PM

Yep, I think you're right, Kaphc.

THIS ARTICLE certainly seems to confirm it.

Don't blame her really - when the public didn't vote her off last night she had no other option left.

Wonder if that means they won't have anyone else leaving tonight? :conf: If they do, I think it could well be Catalina.

Kaz 06-05-2003 04:06 PM

THIS IS the latest info. on Danniella leaving IAC2.

I notice at the end of the article that they're deciding whether to put in a replacement for her. I think it's far too late for that.

:colour:

kaphc 06-05-2003 07:17 PM

I think it would be too late for a replacement as well, especially as the group have bonded so well.

Maybe they would put the little one in the Krankies in there. Or I heard a rumour that Russell Grant might have been one of the celebrities - maybe they could put him back in.

But what I would really like to see is either Ant or Dec go in!!

BigSister 06-05-2003 07:20 PM

Yeah I said that last night lol
It would be funny

:elephant::elephant::elephant::elephant:

Amy 06-05-2003 07:39 PM

I really hoped she would stay! She'll be a lot happier now she's left and can see her family again  Wonder who will go next?

susieq 06-05-2003 11:11 PM

Have just seen the interview with Danni and, although I've never particularly been a fan of hers in the past, she has certainly gone up in my estimation.

It must have taken a lot of courage to go in there in the first place and she was obviously ready to walk within the first 48 hours. Give her her due though, she was asked, by the producers, to stick it out until the first eviction and she did just that. It must have been so difficult for her. She's obviously still emotionally very fragile after all she's been through in her rather traumatic past but she was still willing to give it a go.

It's quite clear that she is still very much in the recovery phase and she realised how much she needs her support network around her to enable her recovery to continue. It is a sign of great strength that she can acknowledge this and I really hope she can take something positive from her time in the jungle.

Good luck for the future Danni.

PS: PHIL TO WIN

Well said, Susieq. I agree with every word.

Oh and Wayne to come second, please.

Romantic Old Bird 07-05-2003 09:42 AM

Phil Tuffnell is absolutely priceless!

OK, he is a bit of a 'dope head' or space cadet I suppose. He must make being there bearable.

I absolutely love this guy. He has to win, and yes Wayne for Runner up.

Catalina ---------out, now.

BigSister 07-05-2003 08:05 PM

Yeah Phil to win
I also like Wayne 2

Amy 07-05-2003 08:24 PM

I quite like them all the only person i'm not keen on is Cat !!! I hope Phil wins
