Me? Care about what housemates do and say to each other on Big Brother? You should know me better than that :p

If anything I have more of a problem with Nicola (and other people's) insistence that you should not act a certain way after a certain age, and also that men shouldn't act like that. They were just joking/deflecting her shouting

Northern Monkey 24-01-2017 10:39 PM

Disgraceful sexist comment.I was offended for all the women i know.I've got ofcom on speed dial right now.

Now let's take a moment to imagine...

Spoiler:

If Jamie had said it

The meltdowns in here would be a new level of cray

I agree, but not from me...I'd have probably applauded him for his involvement in a funny argument and doing something that wasn't the dull showmance so

Mitchell 24-01-2017 11:53 PM

Go Jedward :cheer2:

Liam- 25-01-2017 10:00 AM

I found it really distasteful, that's one thing I've been brought up to never say to a woman, even if you're having a disagreement, it was bang out of order and again I agree with Northern Monkey, if any of the guys other than Jedward had said that, then people would be wanting heads on a platter, it's even more double standards for the two of them.

Hurtful and embarrassing? Oh come on, it's the most general "insult" you can get

It is - Im a woman and Im telling you it is - to me - somethings are personal for a reason it takes maturity to understand -a woman doesnt tell everyone her business - so to have two little prats say something like that is crude and embarrassing.

They didnt do themselves any favours with the MAJORITY of women that watch this show but dont come on this site - believe me.

And if its the most general insult then maybe white men arent the most discriminated against in the UK - two women a day die from domestic violence - the reason women get housing before men is because they often have children and are at risk from attacked as they are biologically weaker than men. I wont go into further risks of attacks they face.

I'm also a woman, it is an annoying thing to say but it isn't hurtful or embarrassing. My husband says it to me sometimes and he gets slap when he does (a playful one lol) It's like saying Man flu and **** fgs

Maybe to you its not - its like when Aubrey spat in Bears drink and let him drink it - most people would have flipped but he didnt care -

it would embarrass me if someone did that on TV - It was the tone they said it - it was ruddy creepy - dressed in pizza boxes whispering ins the door with those sly fake american accents - from them its demeaning - from your partner its ok - you know each others boundaries.

But from two prats dressed in pizza boxes with that spiteful look on their face whenever someone isnt enthralled by them. Gross.

And Nicola really deserved to be spoken to with respect after the way she treats them, it was mild considering how she treats them, she was waiting for a reason to have a go at them, from when she was watching them out the window earlier that evening bitching about them to Stacy ................mmhhmm

This is actually the way people in that part of Dublin speak btw, it isn't a fake American accent

no someone else on the thread has as his signature that white men are the most discriminated against

you then said this was the most general insult - I thought it showed how men aren't discriminated against "come back when you re a 10'' i.e

anyway gotta go - dont know if your a man or a woman until you tell me!! how else am I supposed to know?

anyway gotta go

er I ve got to go but I ll find you an article where they admitted to starting to putting on a fake American accent just before they did X factor - it came from their own mouths - they admitted it - so its a fact.

Jordan. 25-01-2017 11:00 AM

Why do people keep making out like Nicola is awful to them. She call them childish at most, that doesn't deserve sexist comments in return.

sungrass 25-01-2017 11:00 AM

also my friend Aislyn is from Dublin - she and no one speaks with an american accent AT ALL!!!

I'm telling you the accent that they speak with now, is the way people from their area speak, Noiríns accent was similar

Yes it is.

It's odd how people go on about American false accents, when the lads have always spoken this way.

For the factual reason you have just clearly pointed out.

because she's from Dublin herself so she probably can't hear that it sounds slightly Americanised, I'm not from Dublin and have had countless conversations about people from that area saying they sound slightly American. It's a posh Dublin accent. I can find you examples of other people from there who also sound like that

She's always on their case for having fun and not a miserable old cow like herself :hee:

Robodog 25-01-2017 11:04 AM

All day every day, BB deliberately creates upset with tasks, with outside tweets, nom reveals, judgemental line-ups such as 'who is the sexiest' 'who is the least intelligent' etc etc

An off hand joke about tampons in the face of nicola's uptightness is nothing compared to the actual upset created by BB each day, we seem to forget that

And anyway - people don't mind personal attacks on HMs - calling Jedward immature, talentless etc etc

I think personal attacks are far worse than some general joke about tampons

then why is there an article where it says

more or less I ll try and find the real thing later

''they started copying pop stars from America and even changed their accents to sound more American'' and article written by their own agent!!! its a weird thing to admit too - but their PR did it anyway - any way really listen to them - when they re talking to themselves in the mirror!!

I agree.really fair posts from you here.

I admit I am biased towards the twins, you have presented a very balanced summary of what goes on,.so I take on board what you say.

When they were 16 though I don't know what you're trying to convince me of, I know that accent, I listen to it on the radio everyday with the D4 DJs
