It's when you put someone else's needs and wishes before your own. Parental love is the closest to perfection I know. Love between partners can be nearly perfect too, although in my experience it nearly always works out that one loves and the other is loved.

A rush of adrenaline, dopamine and serotonin in the brain. You might as well eat a chocolate bar on a rollercoaster and avoid the hassle.
