I think it looks a lot less creepy than the older version tbh.

I think the TV film is worth a watch. It's definitely creepy, not exactly scary though. It sort of plays on the

The original is your typical cheesy 80's horror I guess. What people love so much about it is that Pennywise didn't look "scary" he just looked like a regular clown that you'd see at any funfair/circus, which for clown-fearers was petrifying. Tim Curry played him amazingly though but the special effects are a bit meh (the real alien/spider appearance etc). The clown is much scarier looking in this one.
This one looks awesome I have to say! Genuinely hair-raising. At the big Comic Con that was on last week in the USA they showed an exclusive scene to an audience there where Pennywise was chewing and playing with a child's severed arm... wow. |

God I hate clowns

Out Friday.
All early screening reviews have been phenomenal, saying it's equally funny as it is terrifying and that although this movie is based around "children", it's gory af. |
Has anyone seen this? Going next Friday

I saw this earlier, it was brilliant. Anyone who's read the book, there are loads of little "callbacks", like streetnames and posters you didn't realise you remembered, if that makes sense? It felt like the Derry from the book, fersure.
It was effectively scary too. It wasn't just jump scares either! |
Seeing it thursday
|
I'll chip in to the "old movie" thing - watch the first half. As individuals the adult actors are fine, but they're just not as interesting to watch as the kids. Maybe it's the writing in the first half, maybe there was more going on, maybe the kids just had better chemistry together than the adults, but the second half is just boring.

Seeing it monday
|
Perched to watch this on Wednesday.

Saw earlier, absolutely brilliant. As terrifying as it is hilarious in parts, the kids are awesome, Bill is awesome as Pennywise. Just so, so good!
All I'm gonna say: the projector scene. Omg, the whole audience SCREAMED! The ushers in the cinema were dressed as IT and people were absolutely petrified, was awesome. |
wow can't wait to watch this now
|
Saw this earlier and it was FANTASTIC. No other words. Can't remember the last time I enjoyed any film as much as I did this.
It wasn't even necessarily very scary, but it was packed to the brim with charm and The Losers were cast perfectly (and don't even get me started on Pennywise). |
My only criticism is that the film was too reliant upon CGI-scares and some of those scenes felt too abrupt with not enough mystery or build-up, but everything else was brilliant. Extremely well acted and a great script. The chemistry amongst the actors was magnetic, and probably the best part about the movie.
|
I agree re the chemistry
|
Yeah even if you don't find it scary you cam appreciate it as a good film, like all Seven have their own little character arcs and shizz
|
A few of the girls said it was ****e so idk whether to see it or not
|
I'd see for yourself tbh
