i think mine is being paralysed from the neck down or my family being killed by terrorists :worry:

Josy 06-09-2017 07:04 AM

Losing any family members or friends, lost too many too soon tbh.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 06-09-2017 07:05 AM

OR one that bothers me daily is when i'm out with the dogs if a vicious dog attacks them they don't know how to fight so they would just like die or s/t :worry:

I've had this happen to me when I was out with my dog, obviously she never died but it's scary as **** and you can't get too close to the other dog to try stop it in case it turns on you :/

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 06-09-2017 07:16 AM

i would hate it :bawling:

it sort of happened to me once in a minor way when i just had charlie this german shepherd snapped his lead and came bouncing over and like gripped charlie around his neck D: charlie just made this horrible wincing noise so i screamed lol and the dog let go, luckily he never broke the skin/drew blood or anything and maybe the other dog was just rough playing but i swear my heart stopped and i was shaking for like a half hour afterwards :skull:

smudgie 06-09-2017 09:52 AM

It happened to my dog when the kids were walking her, 3 dogs went for her, one of them grabbed her by her back leg and started swinging her round like a rag doll. She's lucky she survived, her leg is still a not a hundred percent but the Vet did such a good job on her, he had to reattach tendons and stuff, if that dog had grabbed her just a few milimetres in, he would have caught an artery and she would have bleed to death right there

Nicky91 06-09-2017 10:04 AM

i am afraid of being hated, and being bullied

those are 2 of my fears

armand.kay 06-09-2017 10:08 AM

Going insane.

thesheriff443 06-09-2017 10:30 AM

Fear is natural and tells us we are in danger, we can over ride our bodies built in fear alert.

We also develop irrational fears, that lead to a life of worry and dread, that lead to depression anxiety panic attacks and mental illness.

And then there are fears based on an actual event that has happened to us or someone we know, and that thought pops into are heads causing fear

RichardG 06-09-2017 10:34 AM

getting some kind of horrible painful illness. it's kind of inevitable, everyone in my family has something bad except for my grandad. I'm just waiting for my turn. :skull:

Amy Jade 06-09-2017 10:44 AM

I don't really fear death myself but I am petrified of my mum or nan dying. My Nan has beat cancer twice now and the thought of her getting it again honestly makes me feel ill.

oh poor you :(

but this shows how much you love your family Amy

Amy Jade 06-09-2017 10:50 AM

I pick up a stick when I take my dog for a long walk, if another dog ever attacked her I would snap it over its back and honestly probably stab it.

I've seen a dog attacked when I was walking my dog and it's so scary, I think dog owners should have them muzzled if they have little experience around other dogs or know they can become aggressive. If Cherry was vicious towards other dogs I would muzzle her but she loves other dogs shes really friendly.

Nicky91 06-09-2017 11:15 AM

god bless your dog Amy :hee:

Withano 06-09-2017 11:26 AM

Probably loved ones dying at the hands of terrorism, which barely even seems like an irrational fear atm.

I once had the job to make people scared of the colour yellow, true story.

Vicky. 06-09-2017 11:34 AM

I have a ridiculously irrational fear at the moment, especially living in the UK. It came yesterday when I was sending the kids back to school...started panicking like **** thinking there would be a shooting at their school :umm2: Been a bag of nerves yesterday and today and I know its stupid and I have no idea where its came from either :S Very nearly brought them back out of school over it actually.

If that's the case, then my greatest fears are Ryan Gosling and four bottles of wine...

One of the reasons I want cremation..that and the thought of all those maggots eating my body.

Gstar 06-09-2017 06:36 PM

Falling into a narrow well head first which leads to drowning upside down

Ant. 06-09-2017 10:27 PM

I think being fully paralysed is a major fear of mine. I was luckily only paralysed from the chest down (so I could move my arms and head but for a week or 2 just doing that made me tired and dizzy) but a relapse is quite likely given my condition and it could very well happen. I've met people with my disease who need a trachea (they relapsed after making a good recovery too) and it scares me that one of these days I'll just stop breathing (possibly die, or be starved of oxygen for too long) and need to live with one for the rest of my life. Seeing their tracheas fall out and them instantly black out scarred me, which again goes back to my fear of being starved of oxygen.

Worse than not being able to breathe unaided is the idea of just being unable to move or communicate at all... it was humiliating enough to only having the independence to eat and surf the net on my phone, but the idea of being unable to speak and being in a vegetative state... I'd be lying if I said I didn't shake at the thought of it daily

Probably suffering with a degenerative condition, where over time you lose function after function until you're just a shell. Just seems absolute hell :(.

Also, plane crash or drowning. Or falling from a great height.
