I've never seen anyone do that.

Candy canes yes, but not chocolates.

y.winter 02-12-2017 05:07 PM

Since when chocolate is for decoration? :joker:

But then again, I've never celebrated xmas in my life, so I wouldn't say my opinion counts.

smudgie 02-12-2017 05:09 PM

No, we stopped when we got our dog, not got back into the habit as the kids are all grown up now.
I stick the chocolate in their stockings to help fill it up.

But I'll be in the UK next week for a bit of a poor man's Christmas in a pre-Christmas time. I'm educating myself!

Withano 02-12-2017 05:16 PM

Wait, I voted no, but I thought it was incredibly common?! I used to do it before the dog came along

The best ones :clap1:

LukeB 02-12-2017 05:19 PM

It would melt on our tree, the rooms get way too hot when the heaters are on

caprimint 02-12-2017 05:27 PM

No because we don't have a tree here and also I don't like chocolate

Are you in a secure unit?

if you live in a house hot enough to melt chocolate then there is something way, way wrong

:umm2:

TomC 02-12-2017 07:49 PM

I think mum tried it one year when I was a child and I kept stealing them, putting a stop to it for the next year.

JerseyWins 02-12-2017 08:07 PM

No because I'd slowly eat them all off.

Used to hang candy canes from the tree though... recently we don't even put up a tree some years. :joker:

Yeah my mum always sticks them on it, nobody bothers eating them though we threw them away when we put the tree down

What a waste

Kazanne 03-12-2017 09:10 AM

We used to, but stopped it ,as the kids would secretly pull one off leaving just the ties hanging , also because of the dog ,we just buy the tubs now.

Cal. 03-12-2017 09:32 AM

Yeah and I have 2 dogs also!

No they don't because the chocolate turns cold, fatty and disgusting!

This also and we have a dog who would eat chocolate

Jamie89 04-12-2017 10:36 AM

We did when I was younger so I voted yes but I don't have a christmas tree these days so technically no I suppose

Cherie 04-12-2017 10:56 AM

No because we have heating, and because it is not necessary if you have kids over the age of 8 :hmph: but we never did it anyway and I hope I am hanging on more trees than melty chocolate

andybigbro 04-12-2017 11:07 PM

We used to when I was younger but not anymore.
