FINALE provisionally confirmed

The final will air on Friday, February 2nd at 9-10pm and 10:30-11:30pm
BOTS is 11:30-12:15am

As BB can’t film past 11pm, the final part will be pre-recorded thanks to Will & Grace...

These listings still can change, and hopefully they do

lewis111 16-01-2018 05:36 PM

Finale set to be Friday 2nd Feb

According to provisional listings and Big Blagger

Morgan. 16-01-2018 05:36 PM

It probably will, it’s a ridiculously stupid idea and ratings suicide airing so late on a Friday plus with a 30 minute break. Least watched final ever incoming!

****ing hell :umm2:

vixenk99 16-01-2018 05:38 PM

Perhaps a dumb question but why can't they film past 11pm?

Council rules, because it’s a residential area

thisisdanny 16-01-2018 05:40 PM

That's ridiculous. Last year they had split friday eviction shows but then Lip Sync Battle changed time slot for the final night. Why can't Will & Grace change for one night?

Barry. 16-01-2018 05:41 PM

Like Will and Grace but this is silly.

Not sure what the Council is but I mostly understand, thank you :)

supertv247 16-01-2018 05:42 PM

They’d be better off airing 8-11pm. Save spoilers, save ratings.

How long have recent finals been anyway? I thought usually just 105 minutes, not 120

Like a mayors office? So sorry for appearing thick, I live in a very small town on Vancouver Island. I mostly get the gist of British talk but some things escape me.

yup :)

supertv247 16-01-2018 05:49 PM

Also just added BOTS... 45 minutes for the final show where Rylan is supposed to chat to about 6 housemates which we’ve voted top of the whole series, is ridiculous!

c5 def dont care anymore

GoldHeart 16-01-2018 06:12 PM

I don't care . I doubt i'll watch the final anyway  .

Marsh. 16-01-2018 06:15 PM

Why are people blaming Will and Grace?

Channel 5 decide when to air stuff, not W&G. :joker:

Daniel-X 16-01-2018 06:16 PM

Yeah... I would suggest anyone hoping for the contract renewal after this year, stop hoping.

Wizard. 16-01-2018 06:20 PM

Messy

Jodie. 16-01-2018 06:29 PM

WHY do people think this is negative I mean BB14 has a split final and that was probably C5’s favourite series bc of the ratings so it could be a good thing lol

For one of C5’s strongest series, it still lost 360k viewers over the half hour and pulled it below 2 million. This series is already struggling and they don’t have space for risks like this, like they used to

Yeah but there's still a **** load of housemates left in im sensing a 7 people finale.

It's clear channel 5 don't want cbb Or bb anymore or they would make it a priority but instead they are clearly killing it off as they know this will rate incredibly low.

Either that or they are seriously that stupid when it comes to scheduling.

Well lets be honest BB / CBB has already been milked to death over the years :idc: . I wonder if they'll ever axe it though or still keep flogging a dead horse  .

thisisdanny 16-01-2018 07:03 PM

I don't want them to axe it lmao oops

The difference is that BB14 was still live. It's a completely different circumstance. The biggest moment of the series is the crowning of the winner, and people are aggravated by the fact that not only will they not see it live, but there's a very high chance it would be shown, which reflects horribly

I know and it did seem like they were trying to correct their mistakes for the past onslaught of back to back series by going more serious this year but yet again they have ****ed it up with stupid decisions.

It's just annoying they have only really got the scheduling and other things right in about 4 series out of 21 series in the last 6 and a half years and the years it was succesful was purely down to the cast imo.

Final is now 9-10 and 10:30-11:05

lewis111 17-01-2018 03:19 PM

So a slightly shorter final than usual

That either means less finalists (which means lots of backdoor evictions :nono:), or less interview time for each housemate.

Nicky91 17-01-2018 04:01 PM

i'm already excited for that final

i am slightly perched for oldest winner Amanda, or drag queen winner Courtney

Ross. 17-01-2018 04:52 PM

Do they not always just pre-record the second part or am I imagining this

Don't know how C5 does things with BB .
But back in the C4 days it was all LIVE

lewis111 17-01-2018 04:57 PM

In terms of actually watching it I'm not mad abound split final cause it builds up tension and it's really not difficult to avoid spoilers for 30 minutes
The only issue is how much it's going to drag down the viewing avergae for the final cause so many people will switch off and not go back to it
