Petition to end bb this year and for channel 4 to do a one off special for bb20

Purely because it will be 20 years since it aired in 2000.

I think they would be up for it, it would be a 2 year break which the viewing public needs and the hype it could cause going back to its home channel would cause a lot of press talk and maybe a revival.

Really who wants to see channel 5 producing bb20 and celebrating it? That crown belongs to Channel 4.

So how do we start a petition? and who's here for it?

Cherie 20-01-2018 09:09 PM

No c4 ditched it

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 20-01-2018 09:19 PM

this is a stupid idea

Not a good enough reason.

Might've been cute if it had been offscreen since 2010 but, as it is, it's been brutally milked to death the last 7+ years.

Lilac hills 20-01-2018 09:21 PM

A send off series would be ok ig but c4 wouldn’t do It

Livia 20-01-2018 09:22 PM

Give C4 a ring. Let us know what they say.

Marsh. 20-01-2018 09:23 PM

C4 already did a send off. UBB is the best we'll ever get.

Hence why I'm saying give it a 2 year break and relaunch it as a one off series on channel 4.

I don't see how it's a stupid idea in reference to previous comments what's stupid is channel 5 carry on milking it till bb20.

As a viewer from day 1 back in 2000 I think it's a respectful thing for the show and nostalgia wise i think it would bring back a lot of curious old school viewers.

Beso 20-01-2018 09:24 PM

Can you petition c4 to bring back the bbforum please.

Channel 4 already attempted to give the show a send off with a dose of nostalgia. They don't really need to do anymore. And I don't see it being worthwhile.
Channel 5 have the responsibility of stopping ruining the show.

However, a documentary reuniting some of the more famous groups of housemates 20 years on would be great.

I remember the BB1 housemates all reuniting for a photoshoot a while back and thought what a missed opportunity to have done a one off special interviewing them all about where they are in their lives now.

Niamh. 20-01-2018 09:26 PM

No c5 are finally getting it right

Imagine the original cast back locked in a house together for the summer of 2020 that would be good viewing seeing as they were all polar opposites and im sure there would be a lot of jealousy between them seeing as some of them are still household names and others have gone into porn and 9 to 5 jobs.

Actually make the house a duplicate of the first one.

I don't think michael21 needs shade from someone who doesn't know how to start a petition, but anyway

What's with all the hate lol I never said I was going to start it I just said I think we all should maybe consider it unless you want bb to continue on a downward spiral on Channel 5?

You complain about the show a lot so im perplexed why you wouldn't be on board as a fan of the show?

Why

thisisdanny 20-01-2018 09:52 PM

Makes no sense for C4 to have anything to do with it now, why would they?

However, I would like C5 to keep it until at least either BB20 or 2020 to say they've done at least 20 series, or here it is 20 years on.

But it's not 20 years on with bb20 if it's broadcast in 2019 that's why I think it should take a 2 year hiatus and would be great to see a launch of bb20 literally 20 years on from the first series on its original channel.

I just feel channel 5 don't deserve that honour.

Channel 5 didn’t mention the 20th CBB at all so no they don’t deserve it

I didn't say it was. I said I'd like it to be kept until at least BB20 OR 2020, so we can celebrate either 20 series OR 20 years since it launched.

I don't think it should take a year's hiatus JUST so that BB20 can air in 2020 though. If it's going to take a break then it needs to be for longer. I feel like if they bring it back so soon after it's axed then they'll just make the same mistakes again.

Eddie. 20-01-2018 11:41 PM

There's only a slim chance C4 would listen to your petition, or even accept it.
Plus, some of the BB alumni would rather forget that they had appeared on BB, and it is something they would not like to talk about...

That's why I said 2 years not 1.

It's not my petition for crying out loud lol I just made a suggestion for all bb fans to let the show have a hiatus and a one off on channel 4 in 2020 to celebrate the original social experiment.

MTVN 21-01-2018 12:11 AM

It's not gonna happen, C4 have moved on and will have no desire to return to Big Brother

Ruthless

poppsywoppsy 21-01-2018 01:04 AM

Lock all the presenters in there for several weeks. Davina, Brian, Emma, Rylan, ian Lee, George Lamb, Russell Brand,

Or put in all the disruptives

Perez Hilton, Bear, Helen Wood, Jim Davidson, Ashlene, Lee Ryan, McCrirrick etc

Alf 21-01-2018 01:30 AM

Bring back Alf Garnett.

The fascists have decided you're not capable of watching this genius of a comedy character, they tell you that you need a safe space from him, and you take their word for it.

But hey! you have repeats of friends to keep you on narrative.

Fight the power (we could do with some help)

Not a Big Brother murder

Cal. 21-01-2018 12:35 PM

Actually that series wouldn't be much other than Helen screaming at Perez, Bear and Aisleyne.
