He's been boring up til now and I wish he'd gone on Friday rather than Rachel. After last night, I dislike him and just want rid of him.

Northern Monkey 21-01-2018 01:38 PM

He’s allowed his opinion.
Atleast he opened up a conversation.Always good to try and break down barriers between the straights and the gays.
Shane J was mature about it and Barnsey explained himself well.

Jøsh 21-01-2018 01:38 PM

what happened?

Epic. 21-01-2018 01:40 PM

At least Winston McKenzie had funny moments to his ignorance and repeated slandering over it. This prick, not so much

Why do people keep saying he’s allowed his opinion btw. That’s not what’s being debated everyone is allowed to think as they wish ofc it’s not like they will drop dead by some divine everytime they say smth controversial, it’s the implications and intricacies of what he said that are being tackled here. It’s a mindset that a community of people that were oppressed for the longest time have been fighting to abolish for years, and the fact that there are powerful and influential people who still hold these mindsets is really a detriment to this community and it’s work for freedom

It’s not as black and white as ‘free speech duh huh’ open ur mind pplz

He said if Andrew got with Courtney/Shane J in a romance way then he would be 'out of his club' and couldn't meet up with him for drinks on the outside like promised.

MTVN 21-01-2018 01:50 PM

I think his explanation was pretty lousy, just saying that's how he thinks even though he knows it's wrong basically saying he's comfortable having a homophobic attitude and has no interest in changing that. I was quite liking him but that will have done him a lot of damage

jaxie 21-01-2018 01:58 PM

I don't think I'd call him homophobic based on what I saw of that conversation though he very well might be. I'd say he was being fairly honest about straight men feeling insecure about gay men which is a fact, some do.

Does feeling uncertain about something different make you against it or opposed to it? I don't know if its as simple as that.

I didn't hear him say that part. I just heard him explaining something about being uncomfortable with the idea a man might fancy him personally.

That was afterwards when Shane confronted him. Before that he said Andrew would be out the club and he'd cancel the meet up that they had planned

Oh I didn't see that bit. In that case I think he was very wrong. What Andrew and Shane J do sexually or romantically is none of his business and it shouldn't have any bearing on being part of a friendly social occasion with them.

I think you're just trying to come up with any excuse for him simply because you've been a fan of him and you dont want it to look like you've changed your mind. There's having an opinion and then there's just being intolerant.

Disappointed, that's about it. He came across poorly all episode, from the comment to the explanation, and even before all of that when he was already discussing the bed situation before he was even saved. Confident much? :joker:

Yeah but the hurtfulness of each person's comments/beliefs are also on different levels.

'I WaNt a HOUSE MEETING'

I haven't changed my mind, don't pretend you know me.

So far all series, people have said the housemates are entitled to an opinion. Ann has said things and everyone forgets about. This though however, everyone isn't happy about even though Ann has said things but they are forgotten.
Think it's a bit of favouritism over who's entitled to the opinion and who's is wrong

I guarantee John is going to bear the brunt of Ann's opinions & Daniel's :bored: .

People are soo fickle, it was literally a few hours ago they were saying how nice John is and now they're slagging him down like he talked about beating People up or something  .

It's funny how Daniel can call women "lesbians" as a joke and not get as big a backlash.
I bet any money if Jonny,Daniel & Andrew were down the pub /in a bar somewhere drinking all 3 would be "joking" and saying homophobic slurs  .

But because people fancy jonny & Andrew they don't think about it . And they just see Daniel as a daft rubbish comedian.

Jamie89 21-01-2018 06:05 PM

Judging someone based on their opinion isn't the same as saying he can't have an opinion. We all judge HM's all the time on BB based on the things they say and the views they hold, this is no different?

To answer the OP, he's cancelled!

Robodog 21-01-2018 06:12 PM

John took the time with Shane J to explain himself, to listen to Shane's perspective and the vibe between them was respectful, friendly and kind

If John was homophobic (as the hysterical hate-mob would like to think he is) then he really wouldn't be giving Shane the time of day, let alone be so respectful and kind

Shane was clearly ok with the chat, as he described it to Malika afterwards

Of course we are all allowed to disagree on subjects. As long as we respect each other and respect our differences, - like Shane J and John did - then no problem

People who try and make more of it than that are the kind of people who are looking for trouble, and usually end up making things worse for everyone

Good on Shane and good on John for having such mature, honest, open discussion on the subject.

Haters can learn a lot from them.

Well he'll probably get the backdoor exit in tonight/tomorrow twist. So people can enjoy their fickle ways and rejoice at his peril :bored: .

People ignore Daniel's vulgar behavior and Ann's opinions .
