Some BB fans are nasty hypocrites
 

Does anyone else find the following a bit strange

A faction of the fandom who thrive off nastiness and negativity, who champion the very worst in society.

These people voted bear, Helen Wood and Charlotte Crosby their winner

But heres the weird part

They target the genuinely nice and positive housemates and call them words like , 'manipulative' or 'fake' or 'sh*t stirrer'

Its quite odd. Its majorly hypocritical

Championing the truly vindictive and simultaneously dragging the truly lovely housemates

They did it with Rachel Rice in BB9, potentially the nicest most genuine person to have ever gone in that house. They dragged her for weeks about being fake or fame hungry or manipulative and all the while they championed the likes of Rex, Dale, Bex etc

And what happened when she won, she was true to her word and went back to her old life. Meanwhile Bex and Dale and Luke and chums grasped for any chance at fame they could.

I guess what I'm saying is that a lot of the fans are bit backward. Majorly Hypocritical and quite vindictive in their attempts to smear someones name.

Its REALLY sad

I hope Shane/Courtney or Amanda wins

You can't say someone who isn't nasty and manipulative is nasty and manipulative if you're supporting someone who is nasty and manipulative.

People see people in different ways.

An example. Some people love Trump. Others, literally hate him.

Some people are manipulative. Some see that. Some don't.

All in all it's opinion. That's why the human race are not robots.

Not to be that guy, but I think it happens the other way round too. Some Shane fans will completely disregard everythig negative he does, and refuse to acknowledge anything positive his competitors do. I think some people just support their favourites with complete loyalty and rose-tinted glasses (they're not worth having a convo with, take a mental note on who this applies to).

But he has literally not done anything negative

And for what it’s worth, Shane j is just as fame hungry as everyone you’ve mentioned, he’s applied to multiple low end reality shows

And I’ve seen him try and manipulate and twist things and generally put himself on a moral pedal stool and look down on everyone. If you see that differently then ok, no need to make a thread whining about people having differing opinions

Challenge these opinions instead of doing the same thing Shane does, looking down on everyone in the most smug way possible assuming ur right

Idk, he can get quite bitchy. Writing Jess' initials on a coat when the lads were talking about how fake a person was in code. But Shane isnt the best example.

Point is, you will get fans of lovely people, and you will get fans of the awful people who will all defend and refuse to acknowledge their favourites' negative experiences in the house. It isnt exclusive to the fans of the obnoxious housemates.

Shane J was my favourite when they went in. But I don't think Andrew has done him any favours really. He may still redeem himself now Andrew is gone though.
I also like Amanda and Shane L. However I won't have it that Ann is a nasty manipulative person if that is who you are referring to. It just isn't true.

I also don't like you calling BB fans nasty hypocrites. You should check yourself, it's not about the fans.

I can't really understand the love for Bear and Helen, but well, to each his own - it depends on how people see BB and what they're looking for.
It started as "the best man win" and now the entertainment value becomes high priority and all means are good.

I don't like Helen Wood. Bear was a strange one, hard to really like but I think that he deserved to win his series. He played all the other housemates.

Aisleyne was nastier than Helen

Lewis was nastier than Bear

It's all down to how they get portrayed

People get whipped up into a pantomime hate frenzy by the media, too often they follow the herd rather than stand back and work it out for themselves

I do not think Shane J is lovely.

Especially after his contrived entrance

I think he is one unfulfilled lonely little man.

I guess people like a bit of character...something about them...a bit of realism.
I detested Helen/Charlotte/Bear...but as sweet as the likes of Rachel/Jess are they are not entertaining AT ALL. They are pretty dull, Rachel particularly...Jess is sweet but there is too much overacting and shes like the class goody goody who brings an apple for the teacher. Nothing wrong with that but maybe we all like people who we would befriend on the outside..people we would have attached ourselves to if we were in there.

This reads to me as basically...how dare people like a housemate I don't or dislike a housemate I like.

Shane has been quite bitchy and two faced in the house, so I find it odd that you seem to be chastising people for noticing and discussing this, and saying hes a lovely person (in your opinion) so noone should speak negatively of him. I have not seen a bad side of Amanda tbh, but also have not really seen people slagging her off. I understand them discussing Shane in a bad way though...he started off fantastically but hes been awful since disappearing up Andrew arse

I loved Bear. Awful awful person but fantastic housemate. Livened up the series for me tbh, would have been dead without him :laugh: Most people I think are good housemates I would absolutely hate to live with, but I don't have to live with them, I just get to watch them piss off the others who have to live with them :D

Bear was a big headed childish idiot. The only thing funny about him was when he thought he was such a hoot in the DR and then he met the security guy and the facade slipped away. He's nothing underneath his stupid arrogant gestures.

The public has always loved to tear someone down. It always happens each summer, where the odds favorite mid-series comes under absurd scrutiny for asinine reasons with two weeks left to go, people at Digital Spy claim "ur mask is slipping hun.....x," and then they finish 3rd-5th. Happens just about every year.

Charlotte wasn't nasty, nor is she the worst in society.

Also Bear never called anybody manipulative or stirrers, he didn't care enough he was just in there to cause trouble.

People see redeeming features in different housemates that other people may not.
People’s hierarchy of what constitutes a negative trait differs.
For example some people may see rowdy behaviour as the worst thing in their hierarchy of negativity wheras other people may see slyness or moodyness as the worst trait.
Different strokes for different folks.

Agree. It’s like watching a 2 year-old playing up without the cuteness. At least the 2 year-old has 20 + years of growing up to do. Some are beyond help.
