Exactly the same, I dont watch BB to hear their BS I watch to be entertained and his talk doesn't entertain me at all

Beso 28-01-2018 10:49 AM

Its usually that.........or ann

Gusto Brunt 28-01-2018 11:03 AM

At first I was taken in by his 'intelligence and in depths discussions'.

Now I see him as a one trick pony with a mighty axe to grind.

Love to see him out, but sadly he's conned too many people into liking him. :(

Robodog 28-01-2018 11:12 AM

Annoys me how he moralises about gender stereotypes but then transforms himself into a self-created female character - who is a total stereotype of a tarty woman.

!!

I want something to happen to make him snap and expose the nastiness that hides behind his eyes

Oh yes,it's definitely there Chuff, you can tell a lot by peoples eyes.

poppsywoppsy 28-01-2018 12:14 PM

He showed his true colours by his gross performance on opening night

Then he tries to "educate" others on his way of life

No thanks, there are many other Gay men who do not have to shock to be liked or need to be noticed.

They are just nice people.

:clap1: I don't need him to educate me, if I were interested I can use google

Translating India's histrionics into something the average person can listen to and think "yeah, that makes sense" made him look intelligent, but yeah as time went on it seemed like his only conversation topics and frame of reference centres about LGBTQWERTY stuff. How can people spend so much time thinking or talking about something so inconsequential?

I agree, liked him in the beginning now I'm just bored silly by him as are Amanda and Ann.

Meh, this is just the editing IMO. No way does he only talk about LGBTQWERTALPHABETSOUP stuff. Hes pretty **** hot on womens rights too, though that may be to try and win the female vote in 'year of the woman' but he definitely seems more of a feminist than the likes of Ann

I miss live feed so much, I know I go on about it a lot but often the live feed showed a totally different story to the highlight show. I mean, there is no way Ann is grumpy and eyerolling and miserable all of the time, but it seems to be all they show of her too. Once they have a character in mind for the housemates, thats it. Was proven even more by that 'behind the scenes' show IMO.

the way he goes on about it, its like that guy from little britain, Daffyd thomas, and he goes on about being gay, well shane being gay doesn't shock people these days and he doesn't want to face the reality that he is just like everyone else, he is addicted to shocking people, and he likes to be the centure of attention, and he is now trying to pick an empty fight with ann, and what has she done to him nothing, I think ann makes a point when she said that she loves shane but not courtney, because when he is in his courtney act he starts to show his nasty side and tries to start an argument with ann, and alot of young girls fall for his act but ann is older and has seen it all before, and there is a reason why amanda confronted him because she knew what he was trying to do,

This is what Amanda is outing him about in the video in my other thread :creep:

Many viewers and people on this forum could learn a lot from Shane J. He speaks the truth, no matter how often he does it.

Strange all I’ve seen him do is say one think to one person then say the total opposite to Andrew

This thread is about his discussions of gender politics, LGBT rights and feminism. I don't recall him ever expressing an opinion on those issues to one person and then the total opposite to Andrew? Could you provide me with an example?

It’s not just about his views it’s about his demeanour and his sneakiness in general

But have you not been watching the show that’s been airing for the last month? Honestly wouldn’t blame you it’s been dull af

I agree so much with this. You can tell. They present the housemates as characters and we NEVER see a housemate do something out of their 'character' which is totally not true to life as we're all human and none of us can act the same ALL the time. I can't remember ever watching a C5 series and thinking 'oh I'm surprised he/she did that'.

'To not be a fan' ?

It's nothing you need to be a fan of or not. In fact, I don't know why you feel the need to express your opinion on it? It's not valid and NOBODY cares.

Lilac hills 28-01-2018 06:41 PM

Also for the record he literally hasn’t mentioned feminism once in the house and same with lgbt, of which he almost trivialised it with his fake relationship with Andrew

my favourite thing about this forum is how the same people feel the need to post ten threads to one of their opinions... like ok hen you're homophobic and racist, we learnt from the first 50 threads :pat:

if he cant see Andrew for what he is

No, it's about his discussions of LGBT rights and the like. The thread title is literally 'Shane J only topic of conversation'. If you wish to discuss his demeanour and 'sneakiness in general' there's other places to do so, I was addressing the threads title and content.

But I agree it's not been great.

Did I ever say everyone else didn't have rights? Did I ever say Ann had to be a fan of his? I don't think I did.

I merely said that many viewers and people on this forum could learn a lot from Shane J's discussions of LGBT rights and gender politics. Because they could. And they should.

Well that's not true, he talked about LGBT rights with India and then with Ann when they discussed the equalising of the age of consent.

As for feminism, I'm not sure if the conversations have ever been broadcast but they've definitely happened because both Daniel and Jonny said in their eviction interviews that they had learned a lot about it from him.
