A lot of FM and a few of the british public don't like nice people. They're not used to genuine and positive people in their own life, so any housemate that appears that way will be deemed fake.

I mean how can anyone be nice without an ulterior motive right?

They've latched onto Ann as their champion because whilst being thoroughly loathsome in her opinions, dull, negative, homophobic, old fashioned, domineering...at least she's herself.

Thats the absolute crux of it. People are so used to those negative personality traits that they don't trust someone who is nice.

I mean how do you know Ann isn't being fake? No one can be fake nasty can they?

And whilst I'm at it how many times are we going to deny that she Homophobic?

The woman literally voted against gay rights, has done nothing but cringe and roll her eyes every time the 'gay' lifestyle is brought up in the house.

And before you all tell me 'she can't be homophobic she's friends with Amanda'

Entirely different in Anns eyes. She's an advocate of a patriarchal society. She's a misogynist.

Seeing a man display feminine attributes doesn't sit well with her because she's so used to 'men being men'.

Amanda is a woman so it doesn't bother Ann as much because she sees women as second rate anyway.

Im fully expecting everyone on here to go all out over the next week to smear a genuinely lovely persons name

It appears that because of you're own bleak lives you're all just intimidated by his good nature, his intelligence and his demeanour.

He's just spent 3 weeks in an intense environment, spending 24 hours a day with someone who does not reciprocate his feelings.

That person has suddenly been taken away from him and he's taken himself away, got a little emotional and had a quiet little cry.

There's nothing wrong with Shane J and there's nothing wrong with Ann. We are humans, varied, flawed, every one of us has things about us that other people would object to. But as adults in society we have to learn to live together instead of dividing people into cosy little niches. Despite your claims about Ann, she's been good friends all the way through with Amanda. She has never said she hates gays but is against gay marriage. And instead of allowing her to have her views... a section of society has decided that Ann is a scummy homophobe and you're all doing everything you can to change people's mind around to your own way of thinking.

People like Ann don't worry me. People with views like yours do worry me. You have to cut people some slack. The constant harping on about Ann makes her look like a victim and it makes those hounding her look like they are the ones who are actually narrow-minded.

I could also add that this is supposed to be the Year of the Woman. Celebrating emancipation and equality. Ann celebrates quite the opposite. She opposes equality be that gender or sexual.

And let's not forget that when she was in Government as a Minister she made sure that women prisoners giving birth did so whilst chained to their hospital beds!!! Well for one Why when he was in the pool did Andrew say to him " Go on ,run round in front of Ann" and then they start giggling like 10 year olds, Shane runs in the living room where she is having a convo with someone, flays his arms about deliberately annoying her ? if you think that is nice that's your perogative , I don't , also when he is bitching behind her back all the time and spreading his venom. Why doesn't he just leave her alone if he is so nice.
