Because being well known isn't a guarantee that you are actually any good, look at Ed Sheeran and how all the basic people flock to him despite being able to find someone just as good or better busking on any street corner anywhere.

But i’m impress this year since ed didn’t dominate the awards and Dua and Stormzy had the most wins last night so both genders were actually equal unlike the grammies. They need to take some notes

Harry Styles was swapping from 2nd to 1st to 2nd etc for a while.

And although I love LM - Sign of the Times is better than Touch. And has a better MV, which is what the award was for.

Also people complaining about best Group the award is for best group not best pop group so why would they fill it with pop groups? maybe they should bring back the best pop act award

But LM shouldn't be excluded for the sake of being diverse as they've had multiple Top 10's this year and re released their most successful album.

Repeating your point, it's for best group. It shouldn't matter if they're pop, rock, alternative, indie, the list continues. Groups should be rewarded for their work and not because they're not a pop act.
