For me its a toss up Between Freddy and Jason.

Micheal is good but easily third for me.

I would put others above Freddy too, he's creepy in NoES and WCNN but he's just annoying in most of the Elm Street movies imo

Michael in the original is the most realistic which makes him much more frightening than the other two imo.

The hockey mask is probably the most iconic though.

Jason has the best kills too. Jason was borderline boring.

As a kid though my sister terrorised me with Freddy Krueger, to the point where for a while I was too afraid to lie on a bed/sit on a sofa/sit in the car because she told me his claw hand would come through them!!

...I haven’t seen any of the Jason movies...so I would say..Michael, Freddy then Jason...

I like them all tbh

As much as I love Jason and Freddy, Michael was the one who scared the life out of me as a kid. The first two Halloween movies were wonderful. I especially loved the way he stalked and attacked his victims without running or breaking a sweat - he didn't seem human. This ghostlike figure with a white mask, black eyes and use of small-bladed weapons are the stuff nightmares are made from. Freddy was great in Nightmare 1, but they ruined him when they gave him jokes and turned him into a wisecracking smart-arse. I just couldn't take him seriously after NOES 3.
I know this might be unpopular opinion but I found Jason more scarier when he wore the potato sack mask in the early FT13th movies. The hockey mask doesn't do anything for me whatsoever, but I did enjoy part 1-4. Parts 5-10 were ridiculous, then again, the same can be said for the later NOES and Halloween movies.

Anyway, i'm going with Michael.
