BB10 or BB13
For me, it's 13 by a country mile and it's not even close. After 5,6 and 7, 13 is the full package as far as BB goes for me. A great and diverse cast which was a major step up from bb12, A highly entertaining and Gripping divide which ran through the series, Some Excellent tasks which were creative and put effort into, some epic and heartbreaking evictions and the best production on channel 5 by light years. It's easily a dark horse contender for the best series ever!
While 10 easily had the most diverse cast and the second best cast after BB6, It felt quite uneventful at times and quite boring if i'm being honest. there were a few days where nothing interesting really happend. don't even get me started on the awful production and tasks and the Producers letting the housmates get away with things and not punishing them enough, Like Siavash's constant refusal to nominate. 10 is not even the best series from the decline ERA, That tile goes to 9. Also to repeat what i said in the Re-Watch/First Watch Thread, If 13 Had a Channel 4 Edit and 24/7 Live feed it could have been the best series ever. Which is better in your opinion? |
13. As much as I loved BB10, 13 had probably the most interesting dynamics of any other season, and felt a lot more like a psychological experiment than a reality show.

BB10. I personally found BB13 too overrated, 14 is the best C5 civilian series...
EDIT: There are far more better non golden era series... |

BB10 all day long. They had a better mix of housemates.

13 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> stage 4 prostate cancer >>>> 10

BB10 was one of the best series of HMs imo, love or hate them
|
Benedict, Lydia and Victoria didn't deserve to go that early... :(

13 is way overrated it's was only good by C5's standards :skull:

BB10 had such an awful boot order. The fact that people like Lisa and Charlie lasted the whole season while potentially great housemates like Sophia, Cairon, Angel, and Sree leaving early made the season weaker than it could've been.
BB13 had weaker housemates overall but I think I enjoyed it more mainly due to the boot order. Lydia, Benedict and Lauren were gone far too early but at least the outsiders made up the F3 |
13, easily

Prefer 10. Found the housemates far more interesting/likeable. Loved 13, mind and I believe 13 with the editing and production of a Channel 4 series would have made the series top tier.

BB10 for giving birth to legendary housemates and a fab supporting cast to back it up too. More than half the cast I found something pretty appealing and diverse about and besides any golden era series, easily has the largest array of hilariously over-the-top personalities in the show. BB13 is still probably my favourite Ch5 series but I found too many mediocre/awful housemates that spoiled the mix. I preferred Deana to the rest of the BB10 cast but I can't say the same for the rest of 13.
Mainly my problem with 13 stems from house structure. Benedict, Lydia and Lauren were all really promising housemates who thankfully still managed to deliver before their unjust exits, but the series would've been far better if the power wasn't in the hands of truly repugnant people; mainly Conor and Caroline I blame for the ganging up against much better housemates. It's still fair nominations-wise of course, because as tragic as Deana vs Lydia, Benedict vs Lauren, and Lauren vs Luke A all were, they were still all fair nominations. But having to wait 53(!) days for Caroline to leave and a whopping 60(!!!) for Conor and Becky doesn't reflect well from a storyline perspective. Compare this to BB10; Sree completely dominated the first four weeks with his constant victimising and obsession with Noirin and I loved every minute of it, but he lasted a perfect amount of time of 4 weeks to allow other personalities to develop as a result. Likewise, horrible people got their comeuppance asap like they deserved usually; Kris' early eviction after breaking the rules is an all-time classic<3. EDIT: Another driving reason why I prefer BB10 is that it almost always had new fresh storylines that meant you were never getting too much of the same thing; Angel's obsession with Noirin, Sree vs Noirin/Marcus, Freddie vs Lisa's clique, Noirin vs Marcus, Noirin vs most of the house, Bea vs Freddie, Freddie vs Lisa, Bea vs David, Siavash vs the rest of the house, Charlie and Rodrigo's on-and-off, and many more. Unlike other 90+ day series, I think its length worked to its advantage in coming up with new things the whole way through. In comparison, most of BB13's storylines can just be simplified down to 'Insiders vs Outsiders' and very rarely straying away from much outside of that divide. That's not a bad thing since most people agree the divide in that series was very entertaining, but when you compare it to BB10 that had a lot more variety in its dynamics, BB13 falls flat by comparison imo. |
10. There is no competition
Also. 17>13 |
This poll result is homophobia at its finest

17 is good but nowhere near 13. |
Never seen 10 but I wouldn’t even say BB13 was the best C5 series tbh. On par with BB14 and BB17/18 > imo
