BB US 20 - ALL NEW cast!..

Big Brother will be heading into its 20th season this summer, but fans expecting another All-Stars edition for the 20th anniversary shouldn't get their hopes up. In a new interview, executive producer Allison Grodner promised a "brand new cast" for this summer.

In an interview with Goldderby about the recent Celebrity Big Brother, Grodner was asked about Big Brother 20. She made it clear that the cast will be new, as opposed to Survivor which celebrated its 20th season with the memorable Heroes vs. Villains All-Stars season.

Grodner also teased that they are "completely revamping this house" for the new season and it will feature "new and innovative twists  that will help commemorate this 20th season."

The promise of a brand new cast is exciting sine it's something the show hasn't done for a while. Both seasons 18 and 19, as well as Over the Top in between, all featured at least one returning HG. However, it's interesting to think that the twists themselves may be the way that the show honors its 20-season legacy. Perhaps this means memorable past competitions or twists will come into play.

In addition to talking about Big Brother 20, Grodner also revealed that if they were to do another celebrity edition, the only real change would be to focus on making sure the contestants didn't volunteer to be evicted, like what happened with Keshia Knight Pulliam and Metta World Peace.

I was reeeeally hoping for an Enzo return and Paul's 3rd straight season </3

Pro Sniper 29-04-2018 03:49 PM

Don't get too carried away. He'll prolly be one of the "twists". They'll bring him back in half way through, give him another 3 weeks of safety, give him ****ty friendship bands to pass out to the majority of the house, and arm him with a never ending slop pass.

We wanted Jess

Calderyon 29-04-2018 04:32 PM

Very happy about a completely new cast. And the absence Paul is great of course.

I bet that he guest stars though in a task or something else.

JerseyWins 29-04-2018 04:43 PM

Paul to come in again in disguise with a shaved beard?

A brand new cast except for the one person we bring later on in as a twist to commerate the 20th season.

Eddie. 30-04-2018 01:43 AM

Excited for no Paul! :)

LukeB 30-04-2018 01:46 AM

Grodbeast to look at this thread and give us paul again?

DrunkerThanMoses 30-04-2018 10:21 AM

Hope so, but its not returning players that is the problem, its the twists, stop with all these twists, the show is unwatchable now, the last 2 seasons have been dire ****e, and its not because of Paul, its because of too many twists. Take it back to its routes please and just have a simple week of someone winning hoh, nominating 2 people, veto and eviction. Stop with this 3rd or 4th nominee ****, stop with extra comp for immunity. One or two twists are not too bad.

LukeB 30-04-2018 06:56 PM

BB19 being dire was because of Paul and the cast not the twists which wasn't that bad compared to BB18s

Morgan. 30-04-2018 06:58 PM

The one season it'd be acceptable to include vets and they opt for all new :joker:

It was a twist that brought Paul back in the first place and handed him three weeks of safety. Although I get where you're coming from. That's why I'm not getting my hopes up for this all new cast because it may well be as bad as last year's or the current season of BBCAN.

yeah that's true :joker:

if they taken away the Paul twist or did someone better, kept the other twist and a different casting director then BB19 could have been good? I use to like Robyn Kass but on the two seasons she didn't cast for they have been better than the main show

Jason. 30-04-2018 07:23 PM

Which two seasons didn't she cast for?

I'd be here for Robyn Kass going. At first I thought the reason for BBUS casts sucking was Grodner's toxic influence since Robyn Kass cast BBCAN quite well, but then this BBCAN cast sucks so maybe she's just lost it

Headie 30-04-2018 07:41 PM

Derrick's wife, Raven's mother and Frankie's nonna incoming?

It doesn't completely suck. Imo it represents the absolute best and absolute worst of BB casting. The HG's are either in my Top 30/35 or my Bottom 10/15 and there's no inbetween.

The likes of Ali, Liv, Johnny, Erica, Veronica, Hamza, and Kirsten and Mikey (if cast) are great characters that can hold their own stories, are prepared to fight and are likeable/rootable to an extent.

You've got Kaela who's a good player but not a nice person and not someone I enjoy watching.

Then you've got Maddy, Paras, Will, Ryan (imo), Merron (imo) and Andrew where some may be likeable but aren't they kind I'd like to see play BBCAN because they may make terrible decisions, float, or just cry every episode (yes, I am looking at you, Maddy).

Ashley. 30-04-2018 07:51 PM

The problem with the casting nowadays is that people aren't cast based on whether or not they would make a good contestant, they're cast based on how much they replicate a previous contestant. The cast always looks the same and it's been that way for years.

The alpha white guy
The flirty blonde with big tits
The gay guy
The Nerdy one
The tom boy
The girl who says she wants to make a girls alliance then sleeps with a guy all season
The over the top black women
Southern bell/guy

All stereotypical. Give me season 2 or 10 cast any day... variety or different ages, race and beliefs.

Me

Jason. 30-04-2018 08:09 PM

But yeah, it's like they have a list of the same old archetypes that they try to tick off each year.

montblanc 30-04-2018 08:30 PM

the casting is probably the main reason why BBUS is my least favorite of the BBs that i watch

no variety at all

montblanc 30-04-2018 08:30 PM

i stan like 1 person every 5 seasons

Yeah there were some people with potential but they all left early. But this cast still doesn't live up to previous casts where even if good people left early there were still enough interesting personalities left to make the show watchable. This season doesn't have that
