One Year On, Was Raph a Good Housemate?

One year after BB18 Launched, What are everyones opinions on fellow FM Raph.

Answer Truthfully and Honestly.

RileyH 05-06-2018 10:26 PM

No

Barry. 05-06-2018 10:27 PM

You first.

Oaker 05-06-2018 10:28 PM

He was boring

Daniel. 05-06-2018 10:30 PM

I thought he was ok but no.

I’ve gone off him since he turned on Isabelle

MB. 05-06-2018 10:30 PM

He did a fine job of enabling the better alliance (and, in numerous cases, convincing them not to leave the house/throatpunch Ellie), but it's nothing that, like... Luke A didn't do better before him

(and at least Luke A managed to get a win out of it)

Jordan. 05-06-2018 10:34 PM

No he just sat in Chanelles shadow with his teddy bear the entire series

Lostie! 05-06-2018 10:35 PM

Not terrible but nothing special. His moral grandstanding was annoying and seemed like pandering (especially when it contradicted things he'd said on here) and I can't remember him really being a source of entertainment.

I only watched like half the series though.

Barry. 05-06-2018 10:35 PM

He was ok. I really liked him in the house.

Vanessa 05-06-2018 10:44 PM

He started off quiet, but then started to open up and got better and better. Love the way he stopped things escalating during fight night

I mean, technically he started off telling the house he cheated with every partner he's been with and telling the world he voted for Trump

He was okay at furthering the story line to be pro Chanelle, Issy and the sisters but wasn’t really a good housemate in himself.

JerseyWins 05-06-2018 10:55 PM

Just end this thread after the first word of the first reply

Not too in-your-face while still standing up for things he believed in in the house. Great positive energy (with his attitude & smile). :clap1: Chill yet entertaining... and not there just trying to get as many instagram/twitter followers as possible like many others clearly were.

Loved him at the time but just kind of gone off him in almost every way since? Idk I think he seems to have lost his roots which is sad.

Morgan. 05-06-2018 11:01 PM

Although I will say a lot of the criticism of him on here is very harsh and I think that's put him in the position where he's turned his back on where he was pre-BB.

montblanc 05-06-2018 11:01 PM

i didn't dislike him but i wouldn't consider him a good housemate :skull:

Withano 05-06-2018 11:10 PM

Liked him a lot. Not many memorable moments, but clearly a nice guy and a refreshing addition compared to the stereotype of a C5 bb housemate.

reece(: 05-06-2018 11:12 PM

Nice guy, not the best housemate but on the right side of the house, and his "archetype" could've been a LOT worse.

Can't knock him for BSing his VT to live his dream, and now he's BFFs with queen Chanelle, and his idols from overseas (Willow and Naeha BBCan and Alex from BBOTT).

pretty much this

Tony Montana 06-06-2018 12:06 AM

Is that Beef between him and Isabelle still going? I thought it ended months ago

T* 06-06-2018 12:08 AM

Didn’t like him at first, started really liking him during the series (him & chanelle were cute) and then couldn’t really be arsed with him when all that drama was going on where they fell out with Isabelle and something just doesn’t feel right anymore.
Looking back there were better places for hm’s to be with Isabelle in the final 2 but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t good at the time

Eddie. 06-06-2018 01:20 AM

He was nice, but boring.

He just stood in the shadows of the bigger characters and stayed UTR for most of the time...

Plus he acts desperate these days, especially to get on BBUS/BBCAN, by attending cast meetings and stuff when he isn’t involved at all...

Amy Jade 06-06-2018 01:56 AM

I was open minded but swaying to like when Shaun said he was going in but his VT was awful and my first impression was bad and made worse by so many people here defending his cheating, that baffled me and I remember specifically me and Tom were basically called jealous of Raph because we were one of the very few who voiced our dislike.

I did warm to him as the series went on and I even voted to keep him in a few times but really it was just because he was associated with Chanelle and Issy. I was happy Issy beat him but would have been happy had he won.

That changed when he started being shady to Issy and he, Chanelle and the Javeeds started talking crap about her. I thought he came across really badly and his reapperance on here made me cringe, only acknowledging praise rather than answering anything worth reading.

All in all he was pretty dull but served a purpose I guess but he is obviously insanely envious Isabelle beat him which will always raise a smile for me.

^all of this

Although if we get the tea on Rachel Rice that could boost his tier!

I don’t really understand how him hanging out with bbusa/bbcan cast makes him desperate to be on those shows when he was invited by them, he would have to chill with Robyn Kass (probably what paul did after bb18)if he was desperate. A super fan getting that invite ofc he would go to see the housemates he supported he didn’t randomly turn up:joker: which would have been desperation but theres no harm in accepting an invitation for a meet up. Quite cute how bbuk/canada/usa had a mini meet up here for Tahan to turn up to add australia to the international meet up

Denver 06-06-2018 06:12 AM

Has he tooks his head out of Chanelles ass yet

Matthew. 06-06-2018 06:23 AM

i think so, i liked him.

Like A was prevalent from the beginning and was highly involved in the series. He had many conflicts with Luke S, Caroline and Becky. He had a lot of airtime and was one of the main characters of BB13 - I don’t get why people are saying he’s boring now?

yeah, i think so too

DouglasS 06-06-2018 06:27 AM

I’ve gone off him since the show - I think he disliked Rachel rice for not meeting him in person, but at least she replied to him after he won? He’s ignored practically everyone from TIBB since he entered the house, so it’s bizaree that he went off Rachel when he’s much worse himself?

AnnieK 06-06-2018 06:43 AM

It was great to have a TiBB representation on BB. He blended in well but I wasn't keen on the bitchy side, running off to tell tales etc. I get that that's what BB is about to create divides and win votes but still it didn't sit well with me. I felt he got unnecessary praise and criticism on here just because he was a member. All in all an ok housemate, not terrible and not outstanding

Epic. 06-06-2018 06:56 AM

It's rare for BB18 to have a good housemate but at the time he was one of the very few I could tolerate. Not one of my all time favourites but he had some great qualities like his conflict with Joe and his performance in fight night where he ran FASTER than the security guard :joker: Otherwise though, and I think he knows this too, he was in Chanelle's shadow a lot and considering how much more of value to the series she brought I prefer her much more. He also did some questionable things like in the task where they each had to save one housemate to save from eviction and he picked SUE despite her clashing with his best friend + the fact he knew Isabelle longer, or the pranking **** Josie advised him to do causing a weaker Impression on Sam Pepper when he was in the house. So all in all, an alright housemate but not a perfect one.

As for the Isabelle thing people keep mentioning, I dunno why that's being included in opinions since this is about Raph the housemate (even though 'FAAAAAKE' was still as forced as it is now).

Crimson Dynamo 06-06-2018 07:10 AM

a spineless, sycophant cowtailing to any girl he thought would be popular

awful
