It's his duty as a father to at least attempt to see his child between games. But like others have said, England will be done by the end of next week anyway so I doubt he'd have to worry.

Agree with the second bit but not the first. The kids gonna literally be around for years, yet the chance to play in World cup final is a once in lifetime thing. The game comes first every time, for me.

I wonder if he'd have given up being at one of those kids births to have played in a World Cup final? I bet if you asked him this, he'd thinks long and hard before answering.
