Well given people tend not top believe women when they say whats happened to them...or will minimize it or make a joke of it, so this doesn't surprise me one bit. I mean, even in rape trials with obvious ****ing injuries the rapists are let off so...yeah. Nice idea, but pointless.

People disbelieve and make fun off all sort of things in life...so i say pffffffft to it.

As do the courts to rape trials.

Misogyny usually applies to stupid attitudes or words, not violence. If someone physically attacks a woman, they're committing GBH/domestic violence. Hate crimes are usually enacting violence on someone because of their identity. So how can stupid attitudes or words be compared to violence?

So... you think sexism and misogyny is only manifested in stupid attitudes and words?

Racism, sexism and homophobia can all be manifested in silly words and attitudes.

They can all be manifested in violence too.

So are people advocating to make misogyny a crime hoping for harsher sentences for those who use violence against women, and nothing else? Or do they think people should be arrested for calling women "bitches"?

Well I always say the police aren’t busy enough as it is trying to solve real crimes and disperse protesters.Give em some more work :laugh:

Seriously though.If misogyny becomes a ‘hate crime’ then that’s a craptonne more people phoning the police over trivial crap that gets nowhere.Then they have to make misandry a ‘hate crime’ too so there’s another load of menial bollox for them to fill out forms for.
All while getting numbers of officers cut and less of them to tackle it.

What about comedians would they be immune?Cos Jo Brand would be straight in court along with Chubby Brown.
