Thoughts?

Niamh. 12-07-2018 03:11 PM

Sincerest apologies for closing this without watching the video (which is great btw) Cal I think the thread needs a new title though :p

Cal. 12-07-2018 03:18 PM

No problem our Niamh!

Glenn. 12-07-2018 03:21 PM

I did wonder why it had been closed after watching the video.

Wizard. 12-07-2018 03:29 PM

We love a slut!

armand.kay 12-07-2018 03:34 PM

Rebranding to appeal to a wider audience are we?

"I've taken ownership of slut, it doesn't mean what you made it to mean!"

"Ok, slut"

"I'm not a slut!!!"

She is not his definition of a slut... what's not to understand?
Why can't you give this woman as much credence for redefining herself as opposed to just championing those who choose to redefine others?

He was using her definition.

She has good intentions but stumbled over her own silly explanations.

Just as you struggled to couple this with the cis discussion and failed miserably.

I don't know how being described as a woman who was born a woman has redefined you, but you do you Kiz.

No he wasn't, why were her explanations 'silly' isn't it silly to sggest that clothing makes people 'sluts/' didn't you think that was 'silly' Marsh?...

I didn't struggle I linked it ..I'm still linking it! you are behind people being redefined whilst mocking people for redefining themselves!

"Cis" isn't redefining anyone Kiz. Buy a dictionary.

If you can't understand English, that's your problem.

In regards to this thread, I never said the traditional definition of 'slut' wasn't silly. I said this girl got carried away with herself and what they were doing to the point where she took her own argument to the point she even confused herself.

To clarify, their intent was awesome, this girl not so.

Northern Monkey 12-07-2018 08:30 PM

Well she seems lovely

Bet her boyfriends can’t wait to take her home to meet mamma n pappa

cis as a prefix isn't English it's Latin.... a dead language.
Why would I need to know this, let alone use it?

She got carried away due to the provocation from the old man making massive presumptions as to her personal ethics due to her dress. I thought that in spite of the loaded questioning, the situation and the spontaneous nature of the 'interview' she came across very well.

Yeah, Latin has bugger all to do with English in any way shape or form. You're so right there.

Cal. 13-07-2018 11:10 AM

Ugh I’m obsessed with this video

Oliver_W 13-07-2018 11:14 AM

I love Jesse as a boy name tbh

Tom4784 13-07-2018 11:17 AM

She hits on some good points although she's a bit frantic and all over the place on others.

Nobody blinks if a man sleeps around, he is celebrated for it. Men aren't judged for what they wear like women are. Men simply aren't held to the same standards and they get an easier ride.

Why are men allowed to enjoy sex with whomever but women aren't? It's ancient hypocrisy and something that should have been put paid to decades ago.

Calderyon 13-07-2018 11:18 AM

She does look like a prostitute.

To add to this, the post that jumped out most to me on this thread was this one from Northern Monkey (no offense to you NM, I'm sure it was unintentional  But bringing it back to what men will think like this is the most important thing or should be in a womans life

Men are simply expected to sleep around, how often do you hear people refer to boys with something like 'Oh, he's going to be a heartbreaker when he grows up!'. Men are judged if they aren't sluts and women are ultimately judged if they are (AND if they aren't since people seem to look for reasons to brand a woman a slut).

A woman is no less than a man when they sleep around, the double standards annoy me so much.

bots 13-07-2018 11:24 AM

Her heart is in the right place even if her presentation is a bit random

Try being a woman :p I remember years ago one of my best friends boyfriend at the time actually told her that if she had slept with him the first time they went out he wouldn't have asked her out again, I was gob smacked, more so that he'd even say that out loud to her. If someone I was seeing had said that to me I would have dumped them on the spot for being a sexist piece of s**t. I mean basically he's saying, he would have slept with her too but eventhough they'd both have done the same thing she would be dirty and not good enough for him now or something?

What a **** and sadly a good example of the double standard in action. Women can't win either, if they were to hold out on sex they'll be branded frigid or a tease.

In the eyes of too many people, sex is something for a man to enjoy and a woman's duty to provide.

mmhhmm and if we're raped it pretty much always comes back to being our fault in some way aswell

Yup, why blame the man when we can ignore the issue of consent and blame it on what the woman was wearing or the fact that she was drinking?

Cal. 14-07-2018 06:54 PM

This girl is a hoot.

Yeh and if gay men get and STD it’s their fault cause they a “slut” or if they’re murdered it’s their fault for being “risky”.

Have had this happen before. I had an ex say that he almost broke up with me because I shagged him on first date. So I broke up with him as he was clearly a sexist pig...given he had no issues doing it himself.

Have also had what dezzy said, and the frigid accusations if you wait longer than a few dates.

Plenty women bat plenty eyelids at the thought of sex with a male slut...what an outdated outlook you have dezzy.

Thats like saying women are doughy eyed sex addicts and they dont care who the sex is with.

Livia 15-07-2018 10:36 AM

I don't want to reclaim the word slut because I don't identify as one. I have the same rights as a man and **** what people think.

I had a lot of fun being a happy slapper.:cheer2:
People could and can think what they like, their opinions make no difference in the bigger picture of my life.
