ITV Emerges As Favorite to Air Big Brother in 2019, Channel 4 Second

A new article revealing the odds of certain celebrities entering this summers CBB also gives Paddy Powers odds of which channel will air it next year. ITV is a very strong favorite with 4/6 odds it will be the new home of Big Brother. Channel 4 is in second with 2/1 odds. Interestingly, 5 is not even on the list of odds for the show to remain on the Channel. I wonder how accurate this is. Do the oddsmakers have some inside info?

I worry they’d have **** lineups like Dancing on Ice this year

They already do...see CBB21.

MB. 16-07-2018 10:15 PM

...I mean Dancing on Ice still had a better line-up than you could make from the past five CBBs combined, but go off

The difference is I knew basically everyone on the DOI lineup and they're all still in work.

Oh and this too

LukeB 16-07-2018 10:16 PM

That's the trouble with having two CBBs a year, the line ups don't get any better.

And yet, somehow, the most unlikable one still managed to win

It really didn’t. I don’t even watch DOI and even I knew their line up was ****.

Pete. 16-07-2018 10:41 PM

Would this not be a massive mess for ITV considering they have Love Island?

I’ll gladly become dancing on ice’s celebrity booker :joker:

Amelia Lily (higher placed and more successful X Factor act than Jake)
Gemma Collins (the ultimate dream)
Helen Lederer
Nancy Dell’olio
Rachel Johnson
Samantha Fox (probably equal to Cheryl Baker)
Sarah Harding
Stephanie Davis (more headlines, even before CBB than Waring)

Christopher Biggins
Derek Acorah
Ginuwine
Jedward
John Partridge (I mean more bearable than Cotton)
Shane Lynch (bigger than Lemar imo)
Shaun Williamson

I didn't say anything to the contrary but thanks for stating the obvious!

annabelindabee 17-07-2018 02:07 AM

I can see it being on itv2... Just after love island....

There similar so promoting for one is like promoting for both... And CBB... Or though they may just have 1 cbb at Christmas and then love island and big brother in the summer... But i feel that they may becuase more similar in format only with one being about coupling people up the other being about separating people to cuase arguments...

Denver 17-07-2018 02:08 AM

The Farm has bigger celebs the DOI

Beso 17-07-2018 06:59 AM

Just like i saod the would when others were losing it all around me.

Nicky91 17-07-2018 08:16 AM

anything is better than channel 5 i guess

Cal. 17-07-2018 08:49 AM

I'm assuming BB would be on at 10 on ITV2 or move to ItvBe welp

T* 17-07-2018 09:15 AM

Even itv would be alright, at least they’d spend money on it and they do have Davina in their presenter portfolio

Mec 17-07-2018 09:17 AM

NOT Comedy Central being the 4th favorite to air Big Brother

That scenario can't be any worse than the current state the show is in, surely? I'd take any change at this point, it would at least temporarily revive my interest in BB. CBB is the only possible exception, when Channel 5 do it right they really do it right e.g. CBB9, CBB13, CBB15, but I'm not sure whether any other channel would want something so messy to be broadcast under their brand lol?

being aired after the daily show with trevor noah :skull:

armand.kay 17-07-2018 10:57 AM

imo this show needs a 5 year break switching to ITV will not change anything

Denver 17-07-2018 11:09 AM

If the fans wasnt desperate for it to remain CH5 would never have brought it then CH4 will most likely have brought it back years ago

Greg! 17-07-2018 11:16 AM

If they did buy the rights, and I'm quite sceptical that they would, it would make sense for them to air normal BB in the autumn on ITV2 after LI is finished, and show CBB on itv in January

I doubt endamol would of let that happen without a commitment from c4 tbh

arista 17-07-2018 11:29 AM

[Which channel will show Big Brother in 2019?
4/6 ITV
2/1 Channel 4
8/1 Sky
28/1 Comedy Central
33/1 DMAX]

Maybe if Viacom/Ch5
do ditch it next year?

arista 17-07-2018 11:30 AM

That Merkle Sister is dangerous

arista 17-07-2018 11:31 AM

Do not put Ch4 on the title
as they got rid of big brother
not to return

BigBrotherGuy100 17-07-2018 03:20 PM

Its going nowhere but the archives tbh :(

Greg! 17-07-2018 03:37 PM

I know nothing about betting but isn't 4/6 really strong odds? I wonder why they're so confident

T* 17-07-2018 04:59 PM

DMAX :skull:
