It's not the best but like you can't say it all sounds the same cos it doesn't!

Withano 12-08-2018 06:17 PM

Typically I’d agree, but theres like 4 or 5 different genres this week?

Its usually too dancey for me. Like those beats get irritating after a while.

Morgan. 12-08-2018 06:19 PM

Let's all stop pretending that anything by Drake, Rise (Jonas Blue ft. Jack and Jack) and Jackie Chan (Tiesto, Post Malone) are good songs please

user104658 12-08-2018 06:20 PM

I don't think it's THAT new for music to all sound "samey" - remember the early '00's when pretty much everything in the top 10 sounded like "The Killers"?

user104658 12-08-2018 06:20 PM

90's pop was all pretty similar too.

Jordan. 12-08-2018 06:20 PM

I've only heard that tragic Jackie Chan one

Mitchell 12-08-2018 06:21 PM

Don’t come for youngblood or Rise, the rest I’ll give you xx

Greg! 12-08-2018 06:21 PM

I only really like In My Feelings from that top 10 :worry:
I would say I like Jackie Chan but I don't like any Post Malone music out of principle because he looks smelly

Greg! 12-08-2018 06:21 PM

OH and I like Rise as well but that's it

Cancelled.

Anyway the chart system really needs to have an update. The likes of Beiber, Drake, Post Malone and Ed Sheeran are guaranteed Top 10's no matter what and they stay in the chart for ages.

Like how Havana and These Days (albeit good songs, but this is to prove my point) are still in the Top 100 despite getting no radio play and not being relevant now - whilst there's other new music that will debut at 60 something then be out of the chart the next week for seemingly no reason. For me now it's just taken the hype and the privellage of an artist achieving a #1 away because it's way too predictable.

Crimson Dynamo 12-08-2018 06:27 PM

come on

look at this
look at the energy

black and white in a group in 1980

and then look at drake and the mess of money and marketing he is

Didn’t you stan Rixton? (Or did I make that up, either way it’s now true)

pontyboi 12-08-2018 06:36 PM

Drake is Canadian not American its not just the top 10 though theres been a trend since like 2011 now where America who famously hated dance music kind of embraced it and the likes of Avicii and Calvin Harris led the way.

But its always been the way whenever theres a trend in music its obviously going to reflect in the charts.

Go back to the 50's and every rock 'n' roll song sound exactly the same.

Im liking we are seeing more r'n'b creeping in again but its pretty bland.

montblanc 12-08-2018 06:41 PM

lucid dreams should be in the top 10 instead of 11th place :p

montblanc 12-08-2018 06:41 PM

and also i hate how male dominated the top 10 usually are but that's another conversation anyways :p

Ross. 12-08-2018 07:15 PM

What a terrible Top 10 list

Ross. 12-08-2018 07:16 PM

We want the return of God Is A Woman to the Top 10!
