Was Roxanne a good housemate?

I think most of us are in agreement she acted appallingly and maliciously but as far as her housemate value goes it's pretty mixed with some finding what she caused amazing television whereas others just absolutely detest her

Daniel. 02-09-2018 05:12 PM

She was boring until the other day

glibberglobber 02-09-2018 05:12 PM

loved her

don't cry for her dad!

She *almost* saved the franchise before the crowd put a stop to that. Not many people have that accolade

I've never seen a storyline quite like this in all the reality TV I've watched, it was extraordinary and disturbing in equal measure. Horrific person, iconic housemate

Black Dagger 02-09-2018 05:20 PM

She's a disgraceful person but she single handedly got the show talked about. None of these other duds were getting a social media presence.

DanielM787 02-09-2018 05:21 PM

disgusting Woman, trying to destroy peoples careers

Elliot 02-09-2018 05:21 PM

Hate her guts more than any other hm but like it also made for an amazing Saturday highlight and could’ve saved this franchise so mixed ig?

Cal. 02-09-2018 05:22 PM

I loved her and she was an iconic housemate.

Rob! 02-09-2018 05:22 PM

Awful woman, fantastic housemate. It’s a fine line.

Matthew. 02-09-2018 05:23 PM

i mean she created a storyline and all but this post pretty much sums up how i feel about her

AMAZING housemate. Even Ryan stans must be able to appreciate her as he's probably gonna win because of her

Gusto Brunt 02-09-2018 05:24 PM

Creepy more than anything else.

Ashley. 02-09-2018 05:25 PM

Didn't like her but yeah, she was a good housemate.

Shaun 02-09-2018 05:32 PM

It's been more uncomfortable than legendary or whatever terms we're throwing about with regards to housemates, and she was otherwise pretty irritating and false.

Matthew. 02-09-2018 05:35 PM

i didn’t like her even before the ryan incident

Marsh. 02-09-2018 05:55 PM

Let's not with the "saved the franchise".

Aaliyah 02-09-2018 05:58 PM

As a housemate she is everything we could have asked for, controversial, a liar, devious, calculating, manipulative...

What she did to Ryan was disgusting but I'm glad she did it as it made good viewing and got the ratings up. If Big Brother continues after this year then we have Roxanne to thank for that.

Maxxie. 02-09-2018 06:14 PM

More people loved her than hated her wtf is wrong with this forum?

tiger_greengrass 02-09-2018 06:33 PM

I don't think she was that good a housemate tbh, she was controversial but I don't find it entertaining to watch someone fake crying in a diary room for 2 shows. I like the controversial people who are loud (eg: Natalie/Helen)

poppsywoppsy 02-09-2018 07:10 PM

She is not Iconic

She is Notorious =. widely and unfavorably known

Bumping this because of the divisive reception she's been getting in the TiBB Favourite Housemate 2018 voting

Alf 26-11-2018 10:27 PM

The star of the series for all the wrong reasons. That's the best way I can describe her time on the show.

Liam- 26-11-2018 11:58 PM

I didn’t find her entertaining before the incident and I definitely didn’t find her entertaining during the incident either, I didn’t get any enjoyment from what happened whatsoever, it was the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever seen on reality tv, for what she did she doesn’t deserve any labels other than tragic and horrific.

brat. 27-11-2018 12:05 AM

the event really wasn't that uncomfortable viewing, imo there has been far more uncomfortable moments to sit through, whilst the main episode was happening we knew that roxanne had left and we knew the house knew the truth, that episode for me is one of if not the best CBB episode ever it was SUCH compelling viewing a ruddeh whirlwind of emotion and our roxeh did THAT
horrible human but a fookin scream but she made CBB22 a top 5 CBB series

Eddie. 27-11-2018 12:26 AM

I LOVED her in the first week or so because her personality was just amazing, you don't get people like that normally.

Though she really started to go off the rails during Punchgate and now I have a mixed opinion on her...

Ant. 27-11-2018 12:27 AM

Tbh I always feel bad judging people based on their role as a housemate and who they are as a person because like. To admit that I support Roxanne I sorta have to dehumanise Ryan and what he went through for the sake of saying that the events he and Roxanne were involved with were compelling to watch

But yeah, I thought she was a great housemate. Prior to the Incident she had some great one-liners and came off as lighthearted and fun (I had yet to learn the evil inside her)

I won't lie, the moment she started telling people and trying to turn people against Ryan I got really uncomfortable and I felt uncomfortable seeing Ryan cry. But this happens in real life and if I need to find a silver lining in such an awful situation it's that it highlighted the possible (and real) effects of false accusations. It's a shame Ryan had to suffer for that point to be made but yeah

I think what made it easier for me to watch is knowing that we all knew Ryan was innocent and that Roxanne would be called out on it. So seeing how the house reacted, seeing how Roxanne coped when it became apparent people saw through her accusations, and seeing Roxanne self-destruct... It made for an interesting week or two, even though to experience it would no doubt be horrendous

But yeah tl:dr, Roxanne was a great housemate, not a good person (imo)

This. Like what she did was DEPLORABLE but can you imagine how the series would have panned out without it?

She singlehandedly proved to the general public that Big Brother is capable of creating talking points/can still be shocking all these years later when BB18/CBB20/CBB21 has people saying otherwise.
