Haven't we all said something like this at one point in our lives? Doesn't mean we actually want to kill anyone.

While I think he could have been more tactful and used another phrase and it is a little ott over a bunion haven't we all said similar?

Like if you see something about a care home abusing someone you go 'if ____ was my mum/nan I would kill them' etc

poppsywoppsy 04-09-2018 10:14 PM

It's banter

He was over exaggerating

my nannas next door neighbours son told his nanna (the neighbour) to 'tell her what you really think of her' (on about my nanna as though she was talking **** about her) and when my nanna told me, me and my mam went round and threatened the old woman and told her to keep the grandson to never even look at my nanna again, the lad was about 13 and i was about 17 at the time and i told her i'd smash his face in if he threatened my nanna again. now they don't even look through the fence and the grandson says hi to my nanna when she sees him, but my nanna doesn't even look in his direction. i threw 4 eggs over her fence after it all blown over so she didn't think it was me as well

Yes, it's a figure of speech. Just as well he never said it to Roxy, though.

Sally has stirred things and has gone in the bedroom all angry like Hardeep attacked her , blame her for twisting Hardeep's words and she knows Ryan will stick up for her as she was supporting him over the Roxy thing.

I would say Ryan overreacted though thanks to Sally's rant on Hardeep .

He was talking about Hardeep CLEARLY  . He's not talking about anyone , he just got overprotective of Sally as she's been there for him . But i think booze played apart and this has been building up with Hardeep as both Ryan & him haven't been getting on , but Ryan was unfair to him and should of listened to him .

Yes, i wish Ryan would listen to Hardeep. He has been there for him and supported him. They need to talk when they're alone and Sally is not there.

I actually think Sally is a bit of a bad influence on Ryan , she's gone down in my estimation a bit .

Sadly it's true. Hardeep was a better influence, i think.

Do you think she anticipated Ryan specifically getting all defensive? Is Sally THE mass manipulater? I was just of the idea that she bitches whenever she’s in a room without hardeep and gets away with it because everyone hates him

Sally has Ryan on her side , look how she fought his corner with the Roxy mess. She's behaving like she's his mother but she's now taken it too far and she's sort of manipulating him to think like her . She know's Ryan see's her as the mother figure in the house and he trusts her , he even believes her psychic nonsense . She has him where she want's him.

Around the table when Hardeep first mentioned her "bunion" she already got passive aggressive and then instantly told the boys " he wants me to sort out my bunion" or something to that effect, when Hardeep pulled her up on it then she backed down saying "i know YOU don't " . Notice how Ryan wasn't upset then and he joked saying "ohh you guys ARE REALLY getting on" or something to that effect as he clearly didn't see that as a big deal .

Then in the garden the bunion issue crops up again , and then Sally runs back to Dan & Ryan in a huff and get's Ryan riled up as she know's he'll defend her especially with liquid courage . She made them think Hardeep was rude & nasty to her and she was the only one that portrayed an angry tone about Hardeep , whilst being passive aggressive towards Hardeep's face :bored:, totally misleading for Dan & Ryan who were not there to witness the garden conversation. Otherwise they'd realise the whole thing has been exaggerated in Mystic Meg's head OOOPS i mean Sally  .

Niamh. 05-09-2018 08:53 AM

I was thinking that was more offensive than the bunion comment, he's saying she's old enough to be his granny, mom probably would have been more tactful :fan:
