Bobby Moore was neglected by the game when his playing days ended, and was criminally never Knighted for all he'd done for the English game. We can't do the same to the icon of his age, Beckham should be Knighted and made an ambassador for the national team.

Geoff Hurst was apart of a World Cup winning team, where as Beckham was a very good Footballer, but there have been plenty of very good Footballers and they all don't get Knighted.

Lewis Hamilton is probably the most famous and successful British driver in Formula 1 that's even tied with Schumacher's record for Championship wins which gives him more of a case imo.
