Corbyn calls PM 'stupid woman' in Commons row

The Problem is
the Speaker did not see it.

Like a WWE Ref.

Corbyn says he said "Stupid People"

[@RobLowe
FYI- I have to say, I saw Jeremy Corbin call the Prime Minister a “stupid woman”
with my own eyes watching on @SkyNewsPolitics]

Livia 19-12-2018 01:16 PM

He's a dick.

joeysteele 19-12-2018 01:46 PM

He could have said a lot worse I'd have agreed with.
He didn't actually say it to her, he muttered it under his breath.
If he even said woman that is.
I would guess he did say people, more at the ignorant idiots behind her cheering her.

If I was pulled up for just what I mouthed about someone, I'd be in bother every day.

She was acting stupid, she always does at PMQs, under her more than any other PM ever, she has turned PMQs into a farcical joke.

Not funny, just stupidly pathetic.

smudgie 19-12-2018 02:19 PM

He definitely said woman.
Just apologise and get on with it.

Why.

She is a woman and was being stupid.

If a man acted the same way he'd be a rightly stupid man.

Respect goes both ways, she is regularly disrespectful to him.
I call her a lot worse than just stupid, believe me.

To say this in Parliament is beyond a joke, if you called a colleague a stupid man or stupid woman in a work situation you would be up on a disciplinary

He didn't say it.
He was sitting down, he wasn't addressing the house.

Honestly.
Do you think all MPs of all Parties don't mouth things to each other while not speaking to the whole house.
Pathetic and ridiculous.,

That's tripe too re disciplinary.
I've been called stupid in my work and I've said it to others.

Since when did stupid become a banned word for goodness sake.

The Slim Reaper 19-12-2018 02:30 PM

We've just told most of the world they aren't welcome to live here, and that's cheered from the rooftops, but Corbyn is rude?

People need a mirror held up to their own ugly xenophobia, racism, and attitudes towards "the other" before judging anyone else.

Nonsense news, just used as a distraction to the Tories current chaos...

Withano 19-12-2018 02:40 PM

He says a lot of correct things, bet the PC snowflakes wont like this though.

People have been asking Labour to do just that for the last couple of years. But they don't want to.

Yup, it's exactly like how Trump and his supporters still bang on about Hillary years after the election. Trump wants to distract and scapegoat while his supporters want to delude themselves into thinking they made a good choice. People who focus on everything Corbyn does tend to do so because they regret their choices. Brexit is ****ed and the Brexit Camp's choice of party are the ones that ****ed it up. People don't want to own up to their mistakes so they'll just ignore all that **** and overanalyse everything the opposition does instead.

We live in a world where a fake story about Santa being a woman/non-binary goes viral, people don't care about facts or relevance as long as they have a reason to be angry at something they dislike.

Sexist pig

Image what he would have called her if she was Jewish

Livia 19-12-2018 04:03 PM

He said it. It was heard. The leader of the opposition called the prime minister a "stupid woman". Of course, Corbyn supporters will think he's justified.

arista 19-12-2018 04:03 PM

Corbyn went back into the chamber
and said the words he said are "Stupid People"

'Let's not think about all the ways we are ****ed, let's focus on everything the opposition is doing! Don't need to acknowledge my mistakes when I can reach for things to blame the opposition for instead!'

Are you trying to debate with me? Because your post reads like waaah waaahh I hate the Tories. And of course we must focus on what the opposition is doing because frankly they're not fit to run a bath let alone a country, and the Tories are only marginally better right now. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. My opinion is that I think it was a remarkably stupid thing for him, in his position, to say.

Withano 19-12-2018 04:16 PM

I guess we just have to ban adjectives now so the snowflakes dont get offended :umm2:

Not seen much respect in that place before. But i cba to have this argument.

Some people want safe spaces and be able to use any excuse to hide away from the things that actually matter and some people want to actually see the important matters progress.

Its not worth arguing, just two differences of opinions here. I’m just not snowflakey enough.

There is no place in society for misogyny

And this the year of the woman too

If you've got that from my post then you should read it again, not only did you miss the point but you got it completely wrong.

I'm saying it's a distraction, a smokescreen. If he actually used a slur of some sort then I could understand the outrage but as it stands, it's just faux outrage from people who don't want to face up to what their votes have brought upon themselves.

People who voted Leave AND Tory have ****ed themselves and no amount of ignoring the government's mistakes in favour to focus on the opposition is going to change that.

Better to focus on the present and real dangers rather than pretend to be outraged over fluff.

arista 19-12-2018 04:28 PM

Despite all news showing it,
Corbyn later confirmed he only said "Stupid People"
So Parliament accepts it.

No because she's a tory so the people pretending to be outraged about this would have ignored it.

It's a dumb thing to get upset about either way but the truth is, the people calling foul on this aren't actually bothered about it, they just want a reason to rage about the opposition.

Do you have some kind of thing going where you have to mention the word snowflake in every post? Or is it, like, ten "snowflakes" a day...?

Yes the Tories have turned Brexit into a monumental cluster ****. That doesn't mean I can't be disappointed when one professional politician tells another professional politician that she's a stupid woman. That's what this is about.
