Oliver_W 20-03-2019 04:40 PM

Pft, so most of their better stuff which hasn't ended is going to BritBox or Disney's service, and they have the gall to rise the prices?

No its the costs of making new series
have all gone up.
Worldwide

Shaun 20-03-2019 07:04 PM

Cba with that price. Sad what this industry is coming to. You want to watch sports? You'll have to subscribe to two different premium channels. Exclusive tv shows? Prime and Netflix. Disney starting up too. Just... no concern for the consumer any more.

Fookin Hell from £7.99 to £11.99

Not in my watch, imma cancel her

armand.kay 20-03-2019 09:15 PM

surely this will just encourage more account sharing?

Amy Jade 20-03-2019 09:16 PM

Cancelling it. If it was a quid or two fine but £12 from £8 is steep imo

Guess I'll go back to streaming offline and frankly these company's have nobody to blame but themselves if many follow suit.

Liam- 20-03-2019 09:16 PM

They’re taking the piss, Kimmy Schmidt isn’t worth these hikes

Jason. 20-03-2019 09:43 PM

Omg. CLOCKED.

user104658 21-03-2019 12:29 PM

If it comes along with more (quality) content then fine, if it's a 50% price hike for exactly the same content then that's just insane.

Mokka 21-03-2019 01:02 PM

I've already seen two significant price jumps in Canada. I wouldn't mind if I could go back to using other countries Netflix content. U S and UK always seemed to have better options.

From what I've read, the US has the most content and then the UK close behind, and then most other countries have significantly less content. Mostly its to do with networks having the rights to various shows in those countries e.g. The CW gives its shows to Netflix in the US once they've aired, but they don't go on Netflix UK because Sky Atlantic owns the rights to air most of them.

Oh I understand the jurisdictions behind it, but I used to use different "methods" to beat the system when Netflix first came out, until they found ways to block that. I'll be honest, even with less content than the UK or US, it gets used daily in our household. I'm still not cancelling it.
