[Over 300 people have been killed
and 280 others injured after a
series of blasts hit three churches
and three hotels in Sri Lanka,

The slaughter of the Tamils is more horrific. But innocent civilians should not be targeted

This is attack on the Government

The Terrorists (Still mot named , at this time)
do not want outsiders in their nation.

Nasty and vicious

Wonder who's behind it.

That's not fair and you know it. Europe is no more Muslim than the UK. In fact in some countries there're hardly any Muslims.
Not to mention vast majority of Muslims are peaceful. And religious antrocities used to happen in Christan Europe in the past. A lot.

arista 21-04-2019 12:43 PM

The Government has put a 12 hour Curfew on,
and Cut the Internet
in that zone of Colombo City and Outskirts
, as a total of 8 Bombs in all now.
Police are checking camera feed to try to track the group of Evil Terrorists
that are behind this massacre
The Ministry Of Defense claim to have identified them?

Just saw this on the news, it's very sad. One Portuguese person died there. Its very diverse there, I'm guessing a lot of countries will have lost someone.

The Ministry of Defense

Crimson Dynamo 21-04-2019 01:10 PM

Awful but sadly not surprising, especially in the east where attacks like these are tragically all too common. Sri Lanka is surprising though, it seems like a rather random country to target.

I wonder which group will claim responsibility, IS is all but done for so I'd assume Al Qaeda would be behind it.

Yup, honestly when it comes to terrorism in the UK, I'd worry more about Right Wing Terrorism, it's on the rise and it's only a matter of time before it becomes more widespread and common.

Oliver_W 21-04-2019 01:49 PM

Some LBC callers theorise that it's related to the upcoming elections over there.

Using an incident involving fatalities to spew Islamophobia is sick. But then I don’t expect better from you.

Irrelevant.

Not necessarily irrelevant.
Islam is roughly 500 years younger than Christianity. If we assume that religions evolve in a simillar way and go through a period of violent zealotry then Islamist terrorists are equivalent to Christian zealots of the 15th and 16th centuries. Which would cover inquisition, religious wars in Europe and St. Bartholomew's Massacre in France where thousands of Hugenots were slaughtered in broad daylight. Even the then French King was taking potshots at people from his palace windows.

so you are saying we should not let this unevolved religion people into the UK as they are going to be violent?

Twosugars 21-04-2019 03:49 PM

we should carry on what we're doing, fighting extremism wherever it rears its head, Islam or far right, they share a lot tbh

it's a horrifying attack with every probability that it's ongoing. Seems to me that it had some high level support within the country too. People were well aware that things were being planned and did nothing, with leaders claiming they weren't informed. That doesn't ring true to me at all.

don't you know an excuse when you hear it? There is no way an attack of this size went down in Sri Lanka without senior people being involved in it.
