Robert Pattinson is the new Batman

Thought on this?

Wait what

RileyH 01-06-2019 09:07 AM

Why

Ramsay 01-06-2019 10:08 AM

I'm all for it. People were pissed when Ledger was announced as Joker and look how that went so it's best to give him a chance.

Twosugars 01-06-2019 10:23 AM

He is hot af

Just let actors act, maybe wait to see how he does before judging?

Tony Montana 01-06-2019 01:18 PM

Outside of the Twilight films, he's actually a good actor. I'll give him a chance first. I recall hating when Affleck was cast, and he's now one of my favourite Batmen.

Yup, I remember utter hell on from mates when heath was announced.

My husbands raging about this mind. But..until he actually has a chance, its ridiculous to write him off as useless. I have been reminding people who kicked off about heath and are now kicking off and they are just saying 'I didn't mind heath' and that..when I clearly remember them being very up in arms about how he wouldn't fit the role at all and was a bad actor, was only famous for being handsome rather than talented..etc etc.

Vicky. 01-06-2019 01:30 PM

As a side note, my stepdaughter is showing an interest in batman for the first time ever oddly enough now

Livia 01-06-2019 02:31 PM

He was a good vampire, I've no reason to believe he wouldn't make a good bat.

Calderyon 01-06-2019 02:38 PM

Have not watched Twilight Films (lucky escape probably) so cannot comment on this.

Hopefully he does a good job on this. If not, he deserves to be buried.

Yeah I know what you mean, I see the same thing  but sure twilight was 10 years ago, actors change and from what I hear he's actually been in some serious movies and has done a great job, so good luck to him!

He's been killing it in indie films lately, so I have full confidence he'll nail Batman.

You should give them a go, I really enjoyed them.

I enjoy them now tbh. I recall hating them a decade ago when teenagers were obsessed with it despite watching two of the films at the cinema.

Overall, they're not as bad as i thought. I guess they get better with age.

2008-2010 Twilight was at its peak.

I didn't see them at the cinema, didn't see any of them till the 4th one was out on dvd and the first one came on the telly... I kind of got dragged into it, but I'm glad I did.

user104658 01-06-2019 04:38 PM

Twilight would have been fine if the big battle at the end had been real, and not an "it wuz all a dream!" fake-out.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt anyway. Like Tony, I imagined that Battfleck would be awful but I actually thought he was great in the role.

What I don't really understand is how they're going to introduce a new, much younger, Batman into the DC Cinematic Universe when they've firmly established him as an older battle-scarred version. And they're not going to reboot the universe, because Wonder Woman and Aquaman have been successful.

LaLaLand 01-06-2019 07:05 PM

He's gonna surprise people I think, he's a very good actor in things I've seen him in. "High Life" in particular recently, brilliant.

Elliot 01-06-2019 07:12 PM

Twilight is really limiting from a creative standpoint and I don’t think many people could’ve salvaged it lol what a mess... not the fault of Robert tho and I hope he smashes it <3

He's been slowly making a name for himself and won praise for his acting

Apparently both Nicholas Hoult and Rob Pattinson have signed deals so who knows which one will take on the cowl?

I'm not particularly keen on either for the role. Neither of them are great actors and they certainly don't look the part but then again neither did Micheal Keaton in the first Batman film in particular but he still did well with the role.

Neither of them have the typical look of Bruce Wayne and I can't imagine them pulling off the batsuit without looking like their heads have been photoshopped on. They look more like candidates for Scarecrow or Riddler over Batman tbh.

To be fair, you can be pretty sure from Caville / Affleck that they will be HEAVILY bulking up before filming so it's hard to imagine exactly what they'd look like fully kitted out.

twilight is sensational luv

Vicky. 02-06-2019 08:51 AM

Ben Afleck pretty much doubled in size for it didnt he?

I just finished watching Gotham, and have decided they should do a 'in the past' batman film...like kind of before anything thats been on the films..and use the kid from it..seems decent  The guy who plays the joker (not that they were allowed to call him the joker in it mind..) is ****ing amazing too. BUT, I have never really paid much attention to batman films before so probably wouldnt work..really enjoyed gotham though and..might watch the films off the back of it. Apparently, the guy who plays the riddler in gotham was one of the finalists for the batman role this time..Cory Michael Smith

Vicky. 02-06-2019 08:52 AM

Agree that the ending of twilight was utterly crap too. Mind, I didn't really rate any of the films until Breaking Dawn anyway...so was so gutted they ruined the one I really enjoyed!

Daniel Radcliffe to be Superman?

SPOILER ALERT

That's what we used to say on here when we were about to **** up the end of a five-film series.

:omgno: I assumed that everyone interested in Twilight would have seen it by now! Genuine apologies if I've spoiled it, I hate spoilers :worry:.

If it helps its not a 100% accurate spoiler and there's obviously more to it than that.
