James Bond is still the lead of the film but he's brought out of retirement. This is the new agent with the code 007, but won't be called James Bond. She's not even the lead of the film, let alone the "new James Bond". I'd imagine if she's popular as (what will clearly be) the sidekick in this upcoming film, she might get a spin-off. But they're not making bold moves here, just dipping their toes in the water and poking some fun at the people who they know would be outraged (and will probably still manage to be outraged that James Bond isn't 007 any more and the new 007 - a completely different character and not the title role - is a black woman)

...she isn’t anyone’s ‘assistant’ though, Arista...she’s another agent who is given his code name but she’s not James Bond obviously...but she’s an equal agent...there is no mention of assistant...

I mean technically if he's being brought out of retirement to help, and she's the new full time 007, doesn't that make him HER assistant? :think:

Ghost Busters and Oceans 8 was terrible.

If they want an all female cast they should find original ideas that would be much better
