I’m gonna fail my pissing driving test!!!

Sorry if everyone thinks I’m attention seeking I’m literally so stressed about it it’s on Thursday and I’m definitely going to fail it and I don’t know whether to postpone it or not!!!

Morgan. 31-08-2019 04:14 PM

If you don’t think you’re ready, don’t take it. It’s an expensive test to take if you’re not ready.

Strictly Jake 31-08-2019 04:14 PM

If you know your definitely going to fail it then yeah postpone it and do more lessons. I failed mine 3 times and it was all for small silly mistakes

JerseyWins 31-08-2019 04:17 PM

I'd probably fail a pissing & driving test as well D:

But really just go for it. You can always just take it again and at least you'll have experience for what it'll be like. It's easier than people think, you'll probably pass

Cal. 31-08-2019 04:18 PM

I will NEVER pass I’m so gross I hope I pass away

Epic. 31-08-2019 04:18 PM

I misread the title for a sec and I thought this thread was about how you'll fail driving your piss in the right direction :laugh2:.

But I think you'll be okay, the best thing to do is not stress too much but also use any stress you have to your own advantage by using it to learn how to drive as best you can and then you'll be fine next week .

Cherie 31-08-2019 04:21 PM

If you go into it thinking like that you WILL fail, either sort yourself out or postpone and take some more lessons

James 31-08-2019 04:32 PM

Have you tried watching mock tests on YouTube?

Like this...

This is a real test.

Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn the test I took was in a huge empty lot with a ton of paths made with cones and **** :joker: It took 10, maybe 15 mins, to complete lol... (I mean they made it look decently like actual roads with stop signs and stuff but no other actual cars on the roads)

Yeah you're toast https://i.imgur.com/Wl65xPu.png

JerseyWins 31-08-2019 04:46 PM

I'm jk though :fan: It's easier on the streets. The whole cone-roads aspect was probably the most confusing/difficult part for me... especially trying to park in between 4 cones :skull:

American driving tests are way easier than the UK one. :hehe:

AnnieK 31-08-2019 04:56 PM

I had to take a US test when I worked there, it was far easier than the UK one

Cal, you will hopefully be fine....just try and relax

Niamh. 31-08-2019 04:56 PM

Best advice I got from my driving instructor was no matter what happens during the test keep going, lots of people make a couple of mistakes and give up halfway through thinking they already had failed by that point and alot if times it was what they did after they'd given is up is what failed them. You can do it

Niamh to blame when Cal flies through a red light and gives a Fiat 500 the fright of its life?

Literally go 5-8mph under the speed limit at all times, give yourself a chance to think - you’ll be fine.

Also, the fortnight before my test, I booked out like 6 different instructors. You’re not obliged to stick to one instructors timetable. Hire another.

Cal. 31-08-2019 09:05 PM

Thank you so much everybody for all of your advice/input.   Ultimately I've decided to postpone it. The earliest appointment i can get is November but I'm going to keep checking for cancellations to get an earlier one!

Good luck Kizzy!

think you have done the right thing, you need to be confident going into it

rusticgal 31-08-2019 11:13 PM

You need to go in with the right mindset...with your lack of confidence you will more than likely fail. Just wait until the time is right and take it with a positive attitude.

James 31-08-2019 11:22 PM

Schedule it when the roads are quietest as if you hesitate when there are cars behind you it can be a major error instead of a minor one.

Ammi 01-09-2019 04:17 AM

....awww Cal......it’s not your driving abilities is it, it’s your nerves...When you do have another date, you can do this...you really can...just try to think of it as another lesson..anything that you’re not sure of, you have time to go through now with your instructor so that there is nothing that the day can bring that you can’t do...as Niamh said, it’s the best advice really...if you did make a mistake, just keep on going because it’s how we react to any mistakes is the thing...about keeping our calm and focus....AND YOU CAN, CAL...I believe you can...make sure you have a small breakfast on the day of your test if you can manage it..you will feel nervous because it’s part of you ...but those nerves are not going to stop you from achieving this...because you can drive, you’re perfectly capable and able...it’s one run through of everything you already know and have done so many times before and done perfectly well...you’ll be Cal the driver soon....

Then you'll have the winter weather to deal with, should have just booked a 2 hr lesson before the test and go out for a nice long drive - i did that passed 1st time and i was 8.5 mths pregnant in a mini !

Cal. 01-09-2019 07:53 AM

Thanks so much everybody for all the advice!

Calderyon 01-09-2019 10:18 AM

Train with a simulator first.

Daniel-X 01-09-2019 10:43 AM

Am just gonna nod and smile to tha luv x

Tony Montana 01-09-2019 02:00 PM

I'm sure you'll do well Cal.

Good luck. :fc:

JerseyWins 01-09-2019 02:39 PM

You still should've just took it!!! Whenever you do take it: driving is a really simple skillset, the main thing you need to know/do going into it is to not worry and not be nervous about it. Nerves and over-thinking everything is your most likely path to failure  Otherwise you'll be fine :clap1:

Good idea ive watched loads of these, search driving test and the area you live in you tube and there'll be some test routes from instructors that set off from the test centre you'll be going from.
