I hate the ugly bird but Polteageist is iconic, we needed a tea pokemon

I honestly cackled at Polteageist's name. Here for it evolving into a kettle.

Cramorant's ability is so weird but I guess it makes sense too. Pelliper should get it as a new ability as well.

I imagine there's going to be a huge info dump next week with TGS rolling around. It feels like barely any pokemen have been revealed yet.

I can't decide if I love or hate him...

For one terrible moment I thought his shield was a feathery "hand" and he was flipping the bird haha

He's a sword exclusive from what I've heard? Bit bored of game-exclusives still being a thing

He was leaked back when the game was first announced but this is the first time he's been shown.

I'm kinda disappointed, I was expecting more of a transformation.

a new leak from the official website has hinted that Polteageist, Drednaw and Alcremie all have a pre-evolution and corviknight has 2 pre-evolutions (probably meaning its the regional bird) and Wooloo, Rolycoly, Yamper and the starters all evolve

It's strange, it feels like we barely know anything about the Pokedex this time, I'm certain most pokemon were revealed in previous generations before launch. I suspect we'll be getting the least new pokemon of any generation thus far.

new anime announced, not that anyones watched it since about 2005 :skull: but I guess they're not getting rid of Ash like the rumours suggested

its apparently set in every region though (somehow) and the new boy has a dream of finding Mew.. gamefreak need to stop clinging to gen 1 so much

Yeah it looks more like a fairy type, theres gotta be a reason they've made it psychic

It'll be weird of Ponyta is the Shield equivalent to Sir'fetchd though since the latter is a new evolution while the former is a regional form. i would have assumed they would give an old non-evolving pokemon a new evolution to go along with Sir and have an exclusive regional form for Sword (like how Sun and Moon had Vulpix and Sandshrew as exclusives).

Im really not that interested in the dynamax/gigantimax stuff.. it looks stupid

What does Gamefreak have against Meowth? First they shaded the **** out of him with Alolan Persian and now that monstrosity.

I do agree that gigantamaxing doesn't look particularly interesting. I'd have preferred it if they just expanded on mega evolution.

It looks like they've taken mega evos and Z moves and mashed them together to make whatever this mess is.. I get that they like to keep competitive play interesting to those who play competitively, but surely there must be better ways about it than this..

and im assuming they've given Pikachu and Meowth one so it can tie in with the anime at some point.

literally everyone at this point: "give us the starter evos and NEW pokemon info"

the gigantimax forms are Machamp, Garbodor, Kingler, Lapras and a few new pokemon.

the grey spikey thing is Galarian Meowth and the thing next to it is apparently a galarian evolution for Meowth, its part Steel type

That blue lanky thing best not be Sobble’s final form, it’s ugly as **** :worry:
