Do you still buy DVDs/Blu-Ray
or do you stream them online?
i use to get dvds but stopped but recently i started to get blu rays because i cba with ****ty quality movies online which will most likely close down in the future. |
I still have DVDs but the last one I bought was about two years ago.
|
All the time.
I love my DVD collection, I'm proud of it. It's money spent over a lot of years with something to show for it. I have around about 800 films, and most of the great British sitcom boxsets. I started collecting about ten years ago when I realised that the TV didn't put good programs on anymore, so I needed good things to watch. |

I've been trying to get BSG back from Amazon.
Basically if I have to, I will buy my favourite Shows/Animes/Movies on Blu-Ray/DVD, but if I can put them on my Amazon account instead then I will. I have got to buy a lot of my favourite stuff back though as a lot of them have broke due to age. |

I don't buy many but it was about downsizing rather than not wanting them, mostly just horror and favourite movies now.
I see most movies in the cinema now though, unlimited savesxme so much money |
I rarely ever watch films so no, I probably watch a film once every three months or so and that’s not an exaggeration.
|
Yeah but never bothered with Blu-Ray, am I really missing out though? Is the difference really substantial?
|
Yes but not very often but that's the same as always
|
I definitely prefer physical media - I use the repective players for the main five channels, but otherwise I can't be bothered with faffing around with streaming services.
Then there's the thing where shows or movies change service - someone who uses Netflix for the MCU is now wasting their money, but no-one can take away my DVDs <3 |
Only pornographic.

I buy DVDs still, bluray have always seemed a huge rip off to me so not those. Its ripping myself off buying dvds really though, given you cna get literally everything for free online though I guess

On topic though, no, I don't even have a blu-ray or dvd player. Well, I guess I technically do as I have a PS4 but it's never had a film in it :umm2:.

Yes I buy BluRays and 4k Disc's
Also rare music DVD's |
Only buy physicals like DVDs and CDs if it means a lot to me and I can display it lmao
|
Don't buy but I used to rent from Lovefilm until Amazon took it over then shut it down. With Lovefilm I liked how you were under a bit of pressure to return discs so you could receive another one. That meant you got through more films.
I have thought about subscribing to the only remaining DVD rental service cinemaparadiso.co.uk , but haven't got round to it. Don't own a Blu-Ray player. I honestly think you should be able to watch a film on a relatively small TV, and still enjoy it if the story, characters, themes etc. are good enough. |
