Would you want to live forever?

Or do you want the pull plugged at some point?

smudgie 17-01-2020 10:46 PM

NO.
We old beggars have to shuffle off to make room for new life.

Zizu 17-01-2020 10:48 PM

I’m fast approaching 62 .. and aiming for 100 minimum .

Not on any medication , jogging times and lung capacity same as they were over 20 years ago - all down to intermittent fasting regime where I fast for 19 hours each day and eat my allowance of around 2500 calories in a five hour window ...

All that said if I ever start to lose my marbles or forgetting people and things I’d rather they put me down

The thought of living forever is quite terrifying when you think about it

Jessica. 17-01-2020 10:54 PM

A double length would be okay if I would age slower too but I wouldn't want to live forever

Marsh. 17-01-2020 11:07 PM

No but I do wish life would slow down a bit.

Amy Jade 17-01-2020 11:35 PM

No not at all and in all honesty I'd rather die without getting any illnesses that make me lose my mind or memory.

arista 18-01-2020 12:24 AM

Yes living Forever

So much more to be Done

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 18-01-2020 12:32 AM

Babayaro. 18-01-2020 12:36 AM

my favourite Queen song

Daniel-X 18-01-2020 01:42 AM

No, the thought of living forever (presuming everyone you loved would be dead around you most likely and you’d have health complications) is horrible I think.

montblanc 18-01-2020 02:31 AM

i was not alive for 13 billion years and that flew by tbh

Josy 18-01-2020 08:51 AM

No, everyone you knew and loved would be gone so forever would be a very lonely pointless place

We lose loved ones while we are still alive and have to go on living without them.

They say time is a healer.

thesheriff443 18-01-2020 09:04 AM

Yes I would like to live forever because you would see into the future.

Crimson Dynamo 18-01-2020 09:06 AM

i think once the sun explodes and you are drifting around in space for billions of years it would get a bit samey

As long as you had plenty of whiskey you would be there having an argument with a star over who the brightest

Kazanne 18-01-2020 09:12 AM

No , it's bad enough now seeing what we do to each other and animals , I don't want to see and hear those things infinitely,100 years is enough.

But maybe we will evolve enough to change.

more like arguing that dark matter was not the reason the black hole was overlooked for the role of a White Dwarf

Well that would be good sheriff , but I'm not sure that would ever happen as we seem to get worse , we probably aren't we just find out more things now, IF the world was a kind and caring place , it maybe good but everyone else would be living forever ,so we would get over populated.:wavey:

Twosugars 18-01-2020 10:06 AM

I'd give it a go if I could hibernate at will when I get tired of it

bots 18-01-2020 10:12 AM

we already all do live forever. Time doesnt exist before we are born and doesn't exist after we die

Mystic Mock 18-01-2020 10:29 AM

Definitely, I love life, even if it has it's struggles.

Of course time exists, as in how many years you have been dead.

Not really the same. You're not likely to outlive every member of your family/all your friends by hundreds and thousands of years. :joker:

Yes but not every single person we know and love.

Losing 1 or 2 at a time is bad enough

So still a no from me for that reason

Elliot 19-01-2020 01:59 PM

Depends really. If by living forever you mean I can survive forever but take my life whenever I’m ready then maybe, but if you mean I’m forced to live for eternity then yeah that sounds like torture lmao

Crimson Dynamo 19-01-2020 02:03 PM

Time and what a "year" is is a man made concept.

I hate when people talk about being bored! People need hobbies!
