Congratulations LFC 19/20 PL Champions

Only question now is can they go on and win it unbeaten?

As a Chelsea fan im not exactly over the moon, but hey could be a lot worse, GG Liverpool.

James 02-02-2020 05:48 PM

A lot of the big teams have under-performed this season - Man City, Tottenham, Man Utd, Arsenal. Chelsea are about level-par with pre-season expectations.

Calderyon 02-02-2020 05:51 PM

Congratulations Liverpool. Very impressive.

Crimson Dynamo 02-02-2020 06:55 PM

They will go invincible and yes today they won the league

Not officially, but it's only a matter of time.

Yeah i agree. And Chelsea are doing ok, fighting for 4th, which is what we expected.

Babayaro. 02-02-2020 09:22 PM

good to see another Chelsea fan on the forum

michael21 02-02-2020 09:33 PM

So am right in thinking but you all think that if city won today there would if one the league :hee:

Crimson Dynamo 02-02-2020 09:39 PM

City are a shambles

Alf 02-02-2020 09:41 PM

They just got lucky that most of the other teams are in a transitional season.

Considering that they, along with Man Utd are the biggest clubs in the country, it's shameful that it's took them 30 years.

That's like either Barcelona or Real Madrid not winning a title in 30 years, it just wouldn't happen. Shameful by Liverpool, they should hang their heads in disgrace.

I just dislike so many of their players .. I saw they lost a player today with a red card for a professional foul .. it’s something they seem to do more than any other team I’ve seen ..

Company was the master of the professional foul with Fernandinho a very close second .

Even KDB ... supremely gifted player but he’s so cynical .

Best team to have ever played in the Premier League imo

Mystic Mock 02-02-2020 10:10 PM

The only threat left that could stop their unbeaten run imo is when they face Man City at Etihad.

i don't think they have been amazing, i think every other team near them has been very poor. The standard of the other teams has been dreadful, so liverpool have not even been challenged in the "top" games, allowing them to remain confident and play well. A couple of close matches for them and it could have been a completely different season

Overstatement.

One could argue that Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and even Arsenal have had better teams before.

Top 5, maybe.

Crimson Dynamo 03-02-2020 10:38 AM

West Ham are only 11 or 14 players away from a title challenge so this summer market is crucial

i heard this last night :joker:

Nicky91 03-02-2020 01:58 PM

kinda boring when there is one unbeaten team :(

i like the excitement in the Bundesliga, our Eredivisie, and also spanish La Liga some more now too (not just Barcelona vs real madrid anymore, but also Valencia, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid stepping bit more up)

Klopp shows why he is the best manager in the world and proved you dont need to spend billions on 5 first team squads to win and break records

VVD £75m
Alison £66.8m

Are the only 2 players we paid over £40m for

Denver 03-02-2020 04:11 PM

Our back 4 take out VVD

TAA free
Gomez £3m
Robertson £8m

Proves you dont need to buy the best to be the best but you create the best

Klopp has improved every single player in the squad .

It’s rather remarkable to be honest ..

Valverde at Barcelona managed the exact opposite ( recently sacked )

He was making a good point before the meltdown. Auba sent off, three match ban, yet Sterling only booked for his horror tackle and then not booked even though Mike Dean - Who else  - said he dived.. Abrahams offside in the build up for Chelseas goal last month. VAR is a joke.

Tbf Leicester won the league during similar circumstances to Liverpool, and they never looked like they were gonna win the league with over 100 Points.

I'm not dismissing Leicester's achievement, but what Liverpool are doing this season is quite special imo, even if the other teams around them aren't on the best form at the moment.
