Calderyon 04-02-2020 07:09 AM

Works just fine.

Just slower since because it's IE.

Slow? No

Viruses? Maybe if one is not properly protected.

Windows 10 firewall (Defender) with a proper Anti-Malware program is good enough.

Crimson Dynamo 04-02-2020 08:33 AM

no ne uses virus ridden 20 year old IE when Edge is now available

idgi?

depends on what sites you use though

and i solely use IE for this forum (which is safe according to Norton) and YouTube (which is safe according to Norton) and i'm sure this ''support problem has got to do with you going to YouTube premium, as if i would pay for YouTube lol, i rather have commercials than ad-free videos

but everything else i use with Edge, news tabloids, discord, escforum

just stop using ie and use edge all the time

Nicky91 04-02-2020 09:10 AM

IE works fine enough for me, like i said for certain sites i find it still useful

YouTube on microsoft edge is annoying, also kinda slow for my liking, i use that more to search songs, right click and download it via a ''YouTube to mp3'' program i have on my laptop, more to download esc songs, nf songs (for easy access to listen to them)

im afraid that does not make sense

edge will work better and faster on all sites compared to IE

Edge is far safer

Its like saying you have a 2010 Vauxhall Corsa you use to drive to Tesco and visit your Gran but you also run a 2020 Honda Civic to drive to the Mall, visit your relatives and use for all other journeys.

:umm2: LOL i tried YouTube on Edge, not fast, very annoying, and lots of modern apps which i don't understand

definitely prefer it the searching for videos on IE

I tend to use IE as well for most things .. only LastFM doesn’t work properly on that so I use Chrome on that instance

There's a new version of Edge coming based on Chrome.
You need to switch Nicky. Technology waits for no man.

:fist: we-

everyone disagreeing with me, no one backing me up

Calderyon 04-02-2020 10:49 AM

Most places recommend either Firefox, Chrome, Opera or Edge as a recommended browser to use.

IE is barely or never mentioned as a recommended browser.

Nicky91 04-02-2020 10:51 AM

i have chrome right now

Nicky91 04-02-2020 10:52 AM

well same rubbish **** quality for youtube as Edge :idc: :idc:

Unfortunately for you IE has been abandoned by Microsoft for Edge.
We users have to act accordingly

Scarlett. 04-02-2020 11:02 AM

Internet Explorer is still going? I thought it was Edge now or something?

Twosugars 04-02-2020 11:04 AM

IE had a bad rep for years. They made a decision to create a new browser to compete with Chrome.
Even that hasn't worked and the new version of Edge is based on Chrome technology.
It's one of those things. Can't be helped
You need to make a leap and stop relying on an obsolete software or you will get into all sort of trouble like diminished usability or security issues.

Internet Explorer 11

but now that one has also lost support for updates, for sites like YouTube

It existed buried in win10, alongside Edge.

Mitchell 04-02-2020 11:09 AM

Nicky using internet explorer in 2020 is the most Nicky thing I’ve ever heard

Nicky91 04-02-2020 11:11 AM

what do most of you use then?

i chose google chrome as my alternate web browser to microsoft edge now

Firefox i have horrible experiences with before, few crashes

my mom, dad solely use Edge, my dad is against google chrome (thinks it's slow), Firefox (untrustworthy)

Scarlett. 04-02-2020 11:12 AM

I trust Mozilla (Firefox) much more than Microsoft/Google lol

I use Firefox

Calderyon 04-02-2020 11:12 AM

Google Chrome.

Bad experiences with Firefox.

Twosugars 04-02-2020 11:33 AM

Chrome and maxthon

But use firefox for Tor when I want anonymity

Jessica. 04-02-2020 11:34 AM

It really doesn't make that much of a difference which browser you use as long as it's actually supported. Just pick one and use it. :skull: All youtube videos load instantly for me on whatever browser I've ever used, so if that doesn't happen for you it's not the browser's fault, must be your connection.
