TiBB Music Festival: Oslo 04 // and the winner is... United Kingdom! (pg. 4)
https://i.imgur.com/msS0ThE.png TiBB Music Festival: Oslo 04 3, 6, 10 & 14 March 2020 Official Wikia: Click Here! It is time to let the competition begin again! I, with Shaun's knowledge AND Riley's (Wizard) lovely ideas, decided to create a spiritual successor to TiBB Eurovision. In August, we were in Pittsburgh, then to the Gold Coast in October, and in Belgrade back in January. Cut to next month, and we'll be saying Hello Oslo! What songs will be heard? Where are the constant translations into French? When will the madness end? No idea. FORMAT The format of the TiBB Music Festival will remain similar to TiBB Eurovision, however, there are some changes. I will have a Spotify playlist of all of the songs for you to listen to the songs during the 4 day voting period. For the voting, there will also be 2 sets of points (just like TiBB Eurovision), however, everyone will be sending 1 sets of 4-8, 10, and 12 points for the jury voting, and there will be 1 set of an unknown number of points for televoting. RULES - If you want to take part, reply to this thread with the countries you want! But please, if you do reserve a country, I expect an entry. --From this edition onwards, everyone can choose 2-5 countries to participate as. - In a change from TiBB Eurovision, participants can now choose a song that is already in the public database (look on Spotify or YouTube, there are plenty of songs on either one). - Lyrics, an artist name, song title AND music video are all that's required. - Members may only represent between two and five countries. - Entries must be submitted to me as soon as possible. The events of the contest will take place over the course of a 1 week period. The final will take place on a Tuesday and the final results will be on the Saturday of the same week. - And for the first time since Globalvision, countries that are not in Europe or Australia will be able to participate. You have as much time as you need to find your entries. Please find songs that we all may enjoy, and please don't feel afraid to take part The more entries, the more fun it is to run. Songs can be about anything you like, and whilst we are fairly liberal with what is deemed "in good taste" obviously a song containing 30 different death threats may well find itself lost in my inbox and doomed never to enter. The winner of this glorious festivity shall also receive Like last edition, the Big 6 (the top 6 of the previous edition) will all qualify for the final. Looking at the list of countries so far, we have 29 provisional and 15 confirmed.
I can't wait to hear all of the songs this edition.
And here ladies and gents, is the flag icon for our host country: https://i.imgur.com/KslgKid.png |
3 weeks to go! Hopefully those of you who haven't sent in songs send them in soon.
I will try to send them this week.
Please inform if they have been used already. |
Song submission period is still on. Although with everything going on in the media lately. I expect this latest round of songs by tomorrow.
Still waiting for song submissions.
Ladies and gents, this is your warning on submissions. Last day for them will be on Saturday. And it is looking like we will have just a final this edition instead of a semi-final and a final like we did last edition. Plus I am changing the voting system to the one I currently use for Veggie Brother finals (with one change). Every country's jury will give out 4-8, 10, and 12 points. The televoting however will be done with 1 set of 936 points (52 points from each of the 18 participating countries so far). The points given for the televoting will be based off of proportional representation, but everyone voting will be relegated to just one vote per device to avoid another TiBB Eurovision 2018 incident from happening. If Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, and Norway (host country) do not submit songs, they will be replaced in the Big 6 by Denmark, Portugal, United Kingdom, and United States. |
Bump... I hate to see people not do things that they've provisionally confirmed for. It's hard on my part because I try so hard to make this look good and then it starts going down like a sinking ship. :(
Sent mine.
Nope, have to send Australia too. A moment please.
Send my Australian entry also.
Please inform me if any of them have been submitted before so i can find a replacement(s). |
We have 30 songs (same number as last edition)! Now the editing of the Semi-Final begins. Plus I am changing the voting system to the one I currently use for Veggie Brother finals (with one change). Every country's jury will give out 4-8, 10, and 12 points. The televoting however will be done with 1 set of 1,560 points (52 points from each of the 30 participating countries). The points given for the televoting will be based off of proportional representation, but everyone voting will be relegated to just one vote per device to avoid another TiBB Eurovision 2018 incident from happening. |
I don’t really understand the voting?
Morgan, the televoting points will be like this example: Say Algeria get 10% of the public vote. I would multiply 10% by 1,560. Algeria would get 156 points.
I have set the voting form to be submitted once per device. This is due to a certain someone no longer on the forum voting hundreds of times and rigging the public voting of TiBB Eurovision 2018 in Kirk's favour. |
The semi-final video is in the process of exporting to my hard drive right now, so the video will be ready to go for tomorrow evening. Good luck to all.
The semi-final is tonight at 8pm. See you then.
Slight change to the time of the contest. It will be happening very, very shortly.
God kveld Oslo! Welcome to the Semi-Final. https://i.imgur.com/SVEhTpe.jpg (click the picture to watch the video, and then come back to this post to view voting details) ————————————————————————————————————————————————— Just as stated in the video, you can vote by sending me a private message as well as by the survey listed below. FOR JURY VOTING: You must send in 1 set of 4-8, 10, and 12 points. You cannot under any circumstance vote for your own country. If you are participating with more than one country, please send all votes in one PM, and please have some differences between your sets of votes. All members of the Big 6 must vote. FOR TELEVOTING: Click the picture below to go to the survey. You will be able to vote for the 3, 4, or 5 countries that you want to see in the final. You can vote once per device. You will be able to vote for your own country. Voting closes at 5:00pm BT on Friday. Good luck to all and... TiBB, START VOTING NOW! http://i.imgur.com/V93cY7x.png |
Why are people ignoring this? It's really sad because I've put so much work into this and I feel like no one cares about this anymore.
So far, a decent influx of televoters (by that, I mean 6). We also have the votes from 9 countries, including 4 of the Big 6.
The televoting percentages are really close, so keep voting on that.
To Calderyon, Liam, Adam, and Nicky: please send in your points as soon as possible. |
Okay, voting closes on Friday, but you still have time to vote.
Calderyon, WickedSkengMan, and Nicky, I need your vote as soon as possible. The televoting percentages are very, very close. I haven't seen anything this close in a long time. And with how the juries have voted so far, no one has received the dreaded nul points. |
sent my votes in now
very interesting, diverse edition this one is :flutter: |
All times are GMT. The time now is 07:04 PM. |
